The Hotel was excellent. The complementary car service is great if you can find room. They take too long! Most guests end up not using it which in turn makes you upset. They should not offer it at all since they can't accommodate all guests.
Other than that the hotel is great.
We recently had the pleasure of staying four days at the Colony Hotel and couldn't have enjoyed it more. The hotel was beautiful, and the service and staff were perfect. The location was great, just a short walk to the beach (less then a block), and around the corner from shopping on Worth Street. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful (simply complementary off the menu-not a buffet!). If I had to name one thing that made the hotel a cut above it would be the staff and their attentiveness and thoughtfulness. My husband and I did a run one morning and when we got back to the hotel a staff member handed us a bottle of cold water and said, "I saw you coming and thought you would need this!" It was a great example of their thoughtfulness. Most of the rooms have showers and I am a bath person and unfortunately I forgot to request it prior to arriving. When I asked upon arrival if we could get a room with a bath, there was no doubt the hotel was busy and it was a hard request to fulfill but they we very nice and went to the trouble to make it happen. As noted the beach is a short walk and while we swam at the beach one day, mainly we spent our time at the hotel pool where once again, the service and staff we thoughtful and attentive! If you are planning a trip to Palm Beach and looking for a great hotel, I truly recommend the Colony! It is an small elegant hotel, with an emphasis on service. We were looking for a quiet, peaceful few days in Florida and we certainly found it!
The barrier island of Palm Beach is synonymous with high society. More than 200 high-end stores line the aptly-named Worth Avenue. The Flagler Museum offers a glimpse of the Gilded Age. The Sunfest music and arts festival is an annual event in West Palm Beach’s historic downtown with Clematis Street at the epicenter. Two more popular attractions are the Norton Museum of Art and the Palm Beach Zoo.
