"Fabulous hotel with spectacular views of the sea "
We have just returned from a 7 day stay at Splendid Hotel La Torre. The hotel has wonderful views of the sea and the bay around Mondello. We had an excellent time here. We had a standard room which was cleaned, sheets changed and replenished with bathroom goodies every day. The staff were all really helpful and accommodating and let us have breakfast early on our check out day.
The pool bar provides laundered towels for all their sun beds to save you having to carry your own (a really nice touch) and the views from the pool area are spectacular. As are the views from the breakfast room. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.
There is someone on hand to advise on things to see and do but definitely no hard sell.

The hotel stay was great. Service was excellent, the food was ok, but the coctails in the lounge and outside were great. The restaurants in the area were very good, especially one place called Sympathy.Beautiful beaches and lounge chairs provided by the hotel
Hotel was spotless and rooms were very comfortable. Right next to the beach but the hotel pool was the best feature! Shame the pool bar was closed throughout our stay but other than that, would recommend! Would also advise to plan other places to visit as there didnt seem much to do in the area (Palermo is only 20-30 minutes away by car!)
Nice hotel, with a lovely pool. Hotel staff all very nice, hotel restaurant good, but only small choice of dishes. Breakfast, 4 euros, was the usual european hotel fare, ie adequate and reasonable value. Room facilities good, nice clean bathroom, good shower and cleaned daily. Hotel pool, delightful, well managed. Where the locals swim at Mondella, you cannot park for love or money!

This is a great place to stay when you fly into Palermo late and want to get to a bed fast. Our room was huge, the air worked well. The owner was very accommodating and friendly (we speak Italian which makes a huge difference, his English is basic).
The hotel itself is beautifully situated on the coast and I must admit the whole hotel was very clean and well presented. Our room was very modern, cleaned every day and had everything we could need including a safe and a mini-fridge!
It would be perfect for people looking for a pool and seaside holiday mini-break - however we felt it was a bit far from a nice town or any exploring (the nearest santa flavia was a bit of a dump) and really you had to rely on the train station (about a 10 minute walk) for transport unless you wanted to fork out for an expensive hotel driver service!
