We stayed 2 nights in July in this lovely hotel . Beautiful pool and gardens, large comfortable rooms and good food. Beach 15 minutes' walk away and the stunning Greek temples close by. .Rita picked us up from the railway station at Paestum and her father dropped us back. We didn't have a car but for a longer stay you might need to have one to go further afield.

We stayed here a couple of nights - for a nearby wedding - the hotel itself is a pre-WW1 farmhouse, a very nice square stone affair with tiled floors - which is very sensible in the heat. There is no air conditioning in the old building. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Not much English, but the owner spoke very good French. The breakfast is croissant and coffee, pretty basic, adn when we asked if he could arrange a taxi for uis, he didn't have any details - which was the first tiem I've every heard of a hotel not knowing about taxis (we sorted one out ourselve slater on) So that for me was a big miss. But I suspect most guests will use their cars. We wanted a cab back at night after the wedding party on the beach nearby. Despite this, we'd stay here again ..

the hotel caters for weddings which meant noisy celebrations every night.this was unexpected but manageable.breakfast below par but just about acceptable.the place gives itself pretensions as luxury so invites disappointment.

The standard room was a little on the small side but we were not in there long any way. There were three of us in it it would be fine for two.
A UNESCO World Heritage site, the city of Paestum is home to the majestic temples that are some of the most well-preserved representations of the ancient Greek colonies of Magna Grecia, including the stunning Temple of Poseidon. Paestum enjoys a strategic location on the Cilento coast not far from the Amalfi coast, Pompeii, and Naples, making it an excellent starting point to explore the area.
