Pros: Location, restaurant and convenience store in the Shell station located downstairs.
The hotel is located above a Shell station which has all the amenities and liquor and food. It is right across the street from Bay Water street where many artists sell their paintings. It is also across the street from Kensington Gardens. Down the street is the Swan Cafe that has British food (awesome!) The beds are very comfortable.

Time for Renovations

This hotel met basic requirements and was in an excellent location across from a beautiful park, but everything inside was outdated and in need of renovation. You enter the hotel by what looks like a back entrance and must immediately take a too small and rickety elevator (one of the three elevators kept saying it was overloaded even with just one person inside) to the floor where the reception desk is located. Room was clean and comfortable, but everything look old and much-used. With just a little work, this could become a five-star place, but it isn't there right now.

Comfortable hotel in perfect location

We recently spent eleven nights at this hotel. We had a lovely room on the ninth floor, overlooking Kensington Gardens. Although it was on a main road, we could not hear the traffic. The staff at the desk are very helpful and welcoming. We were delighted to find wine and a welcome card in the room, as well as regular free still and sparkling water, coffee, tea and biscuits. The breakfast was excellent and cheaper if you booked in advance. The location was wonderful - very safe and close to many restaurants. There are two close tube stations and it is on the bus route. We enjoyed walking to Oxford Street and museums through the parks. We would definitely stay there again.

Great location, Very Clean, Staff very friendly!

Location: Beautiful park across the street for walks!!!! The tube (subway) is a block away. Busses are available right outside. Very convenient. Very SAFE.
I came in from AZ USA and this place is very clean and the staff took care of any needs I had. Breakfast buffet was wonderful. Get a room with a view. This place is a 10.

Off to a wee bit of a rocky start with the aircon in our room not working but thanks to the Duty Manager it was all sorted to our satisfaction.

Good location, near the tube and Queensway. Rooms a bit worn, bathroom tiny but functional. Fairly constant elevator issues. Gracious staff. Housekeeping did a great job during our stay.

Long wait to check in. Very clean and central. Had a drink in the bar on our first night, very limited selection of beer and spirits! Did not eat here. Would stay here again.
