Very quiet here, yes there is a cemetery next to the hotel but they don't give you any trouble! It's quiet and the room we had was renovated and had high ceilings an open fire(gas) a ceiling fan and a big comfy bed. Room very clean and the bathroom was great with a walk in shower. Nice furniture in room with modern tv and a sliding door leading onto a balcony with table and chairs, great place to relax with view of trees and wildlife, and you can see some gravestones if you look hard enough but it's fine. Easy parking and just a short walk away from the ocean and a great tree lined high street a short drive away. I will stay here again for longer next time as I felt really relaxed and your not far away from Carmel etc Very happy for what we got and based on our experience would recommend.
The outside looks like rustic cabins but once inside the decor was like that of a trendy spa hotel. It was very attractive and comfortable. It was walking distance to the beach. The location was in a wooded area, very quiet. I will definetly return and recommend it to friends! Very affordable!

Nice small motel. Front desk was really nice and knowledgeable of the area. Rooms were good size as were the bathroom. Shower was nice. Fireplace is room was an added touch. Beds are a little hard for my liking but I would stay here again.
The hotel looks tidy with nice flower pots outside and hotel personnel were pleasant. Hotel room was clean but a little boring with no pictures on the walls. Bathroom was very small and dated (e.g. tile was clean and in good shape but looked like it was from the 60's -70's). Linoleum on the floor was very plain and the door scraped it every time we opened or closed the bathroom door. The room was warm when we arrived, but cooled off fairly quickly (no a/c which is typical of coastal areas). Access to the room was a sliding glass door which provided the only ventilation. This means the door to your room is open to everyone walking by. On the upside, there were louvered shutters on the door and plenty of other staircases so that we didn't get much traffic past our door. Internet service was spotty although we were pretty close to the office. There was no clock/alarm in our room and I would like to see some sort of power strip to charge electronic devices. I have begun seeing clocks and lamps that include power outlets in hotel rooms here lately. This is an inexpensive way to say you care about your customers. Continental breakfast was pretty standard with breads, bagels, etc.
This was a great little place, we could not have been happier with our stay. The facilities were visibly old, but in fantastic condition and it looks as though the rooms have been recently remodeled. The grounds were kept immaculately clean. The staff was courteous and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had a good stay. This was particularly the case with Jarvis. The location is great and only about a block away from the beach. The only criticism I have is that there were no nearby shops or restaurants within walking distance, that wasn't a concern for us as we were looking for a getaway and were more concerned with our proximity to the beach. We will definitely stay here again next time we come to town.
Pacific Grove, known to locals as “P.G.,” marks the northern end of the 17-mile drive along Pebble Beach’s famed golf courses. Point Pinos lighthouse, the oldest under continuous use on the West Coast, stands 85 feet above the Pacific. Monarch butterflies rest their orange and black wings at nearby Monarch Grove Sanctuary. Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History displays native plants and animals.
