The property is charming and love the art deco look of the lobby. The service was excellent and the light breakfast brought to the door was great. However, the property needs a little sprucing up. The hallway carpets were quite worn and look dirty. The room was fine, but the mattress was horrible. It is a metal spring mattress with a fairly thin top cover. It was like sleeping on cement. Had back pain every morning. The pool area is nice, but should have someone sweep up and wipe down the furniture a couple times a day. The tree pollen/leaves were all over and a film of pollen covered the furniture & tables, the yellow pool towels could be bigger. What's advertised on the website is not accurate. The restruant next door was no longer in business, the Rum Room at the back wasn't open, we were not offered the 2 for 1 drinks from 3-5 at Robert's next door (might have been for the other closed restaurant, but some kind of discount would have been nice). We did go off season, so the vibe was very quiet.
