Fantastic beautiful hotel. Staff were lovely. My only moan (and it did not bother me enough to complain) was the room was next to what I assume was the boiler room and on the Saturday morning I was woken several times by the noise. Would still stay there again.

"Decent hotel within walking distance of town"
Hotel is fine, free parking very useful, slightly further out of town than described. Had room at the front and quite a lot of road noise (some event was going on and there were horns blaring until midnight the first night of our stay). Bed was rather saggy but nicely decorated room with all necessary amenities. Bathroom could do with some work. Didn't try any of the food so can't comment on that. Nice to have pool/jacuzzi/sauna and weren't too crowded which was great.

"Cute hotel, deceivingly big!"
We checked in and were welcomed by an incredibly helpful receptionist. She directed us to our room which was quite far down a long corridor, up some stairs (no lifts), round a few bends and then we were there. The room was much bigger than expected, very clean, tea & coffee making facilities included, bath products included. And to top it all off, there was a lovely balcony, looking out onto some beautiful scenery. Very unexpected! We paid for wifi as phone signal was not impressive, but it did not cost much at all. The wifi does log you off if you don't continually use it, which is annoying, but we could cope for our overnight stay. Breakfast was very nice; there was a hot buffet, cereal, pastries, juice, fruit and the staff brought over coffee and tea. We requested a late checkout which the receptionist forgot to put on the system, so we did get a phonecall around 11 but it was fine once I explained.

"Haythrop Park recent stay"
Summary of our stay - We stayed for one night in the Longview room, the room was lovely, comfortable with everything needed & the view just beautiful. The Haythrop estate is large with much to explore, discover & enjoy, we would have needed to stay for many more nights to discover all it has to offer. Swimming pool facilities very acceptable, although take care, the floor is extremely slippery & apparently the mens changing rooms were freezing. The downside 1. Some of the staff were super friendly, namely the wonderful concierge and reception staff and a few others but some really were not & seemed not to care in the slightest. 2. The food, for a hotel of this level is atrocious, we ate breakfast and at the Brassry for a lunch snack & evening meal. I think possibly a great summary of the standard of food is; the chefs special sweet 'Black Forest gateaux' which we were later informed was no longer available and now the chefs special was orange jelly, we refrained was asking if it was Rowntrees!! Absolutely nothing appears freshly cooked, everything is processed, there are no organic or free range options even the eggs are not free range. The breakfast although a large choice was again mostly processed food, none of the meat is presented as local. We may stay again as the old hotel, it's grounds & it's location is are all just wonderful but we will not eat a morsel of food it has to offer and expect very little from the majority of the staff.

"Peaceful location - great for a F1 weekend"
Unfortunately there was a mix up with our booking for 3 rooms during the F1 at silverstone weekend between Expedia and I think the hotels central reservations . However Lorna at reception was marvellous and had it all in hand and accommodated us all - she handled the situation calmly and professionally. As the men in our group went to watch the racing we stayed in the hotel and made use of the swimming pool which unfortunately was so full we could not get loungers to lie on. Also due to the spa being a therapist short we could not have our full body massages so just had a quick shoulder and back massage, not something they could have anticipated. As we had an upgraded room with comfortable sofa area we made the most if it and enjoyed watching the tennis final.

Pocket Guide: Business Hotels in Oxfordshire

Not all visitors to Oxfordshire come here for the green rolling hills and pleasant river valleys, or to enjoy the attractions of great cities like Oxford. Many are here for business purposes, as company representatives, and they need the facilities of a modern office in order to keep in touch and do their job effectively whilst on the move. This is where Oxfordshire business hotels come in, to provide executives with all they need during their stay.

Business on the Move in Oxfordshire

The facilities for commercial guests offered by Oxfordshire business hotels are designed to meet the needs of businessmen on the move, travelling light and with a frequently heavy workload and precise schedules. One of the top priorities will be broadband Wi-Fi, preferably high-speed, and this typically comes as a standard facility in most Oxfordshire business hotels. It will be available in guestrooms as well as in the public parts of the hotel in most cases. An indoor pool and spa facilities are also a feature in several business hotels, along with specialist facilities such as express check-in and check-out, to fit in with tight schedules.

Based in a city like Oxford, a business hotel in Oxfordshire provides its guests with access to an executive suite which is not available to normal guests, a space where the commercial traveller can use fax machines, printers and other equipment. Meeting rooms are also a standard feature in such hotels, and also a work desk with table lamp and office-style chair in the guestrooms for business clients to continue working at all hours of day or night.

    Oxfordshire Hotel Business Suites

It's easy to locate a suitable business hotel in Oxfordshire, especially near the bigger urban centres such as Oxford city itself, and towns like Bicester and Brize Norton. Business hotels such as the Best Western Plus Wroxton House Hotel in Banbury and the Holt Hotel in Bicester will provide the travelling executive with everything that he or she needs to have a productive stay in this area of the UK. Whether you're here for business or pleasure, book in to an Oxfordshire business hotel for quality services and facilities.
