The hotel is dated on the outside, but the staff tries to keep it clean. No ants seen/found in our room, so that was good. There were railings missing outside of our room and one of our little ones almost fell through. The sign "Mariner" does not light up the "e" and "r" at night, which makes the hotel look a little run down from a superficial appearance. Overall, it's a 3 start stay. Price should be a little lower given the "oldness" look and feel. The beach was being replinished with sand so we had to talk a little ways (2-3 minutes). Would've been a nice touch had the hotel rented a small transport vehicle to shuttle guests back and forth (especially the elderly and small children).
