This is my 4th stay and previously held hotel in high regard will not be returning after this visit.
Check in - 25 minutes for 2 rooms, receptionist was,checking guests paying 4000 euro (7 nights 2 ppl) was too much trouble, not ready for 3pm, low floor rooms apart from each other, noise level queried to be assured it was quiet. Marina rooms 337,341 restaurant playing live music which is 8.30-11.30pm Wed- Sun, unable to sleep room change to 741-742 next day loud live music disturbing sleep most evenings not good for this price point requires better soundproofing of the balcony doors.
Pool area - lacks mattresses on the sun beds, not enough parasols, dirty wine bottles, fruit rinds and glasses in some areas not cleaned for days, lacks staff for taking orders. groups swearing and shouting in the pool, pool upgrade lots of children not using kids pool but main pool, no handrail for less able bodied and elderly need assistance to enter pool, good pool towels.
Rooms - clean, turndown service only received Mon-thurs housekeeping only half made up the rooms on Friday dirty glasses, items just tossed to one side, no coffee pods, soft towels and bathrobes, good bed linen.
Think hotel is confused what group of guests it is trying to attract is it the hip and cool (purobeach) or the discerning guest or families or groups that are brash and loud?
