The hotel manager, is very unfriendly towards 3rd party bookings and will not help whatsoever if there is any trouble or mistakes in booking. Stay away, he will purposely and willingly be unhelpful.

Staff can be way more helpful and nicer to his clients no matter how they book. Entire hotel smells like a casino and breakfast is the same all week and seems like it’s just re-heated/recycled day to day. I’ve been staying at the budget inn down the road instead for better prices clean rooms and better location.

Staff not helpful at all and actually kind of rude to be honest, go stay at the budget inn a block down the street. Friendlier staff location and same room for the same or better price.

My daugher and I came there during a snowstorm. We got there late, understandable after driving a 5 hour drive in almost 9 hours because of said snowstorm. Granted, that it did snow, they could have at least attempted to plow and shovel their property, and they did not. I walked through about 6 inches deep of unshoveled snow to get to the desk. Yes, we came late, but there should be somebody awake on duty, not me having to wake someone up. The man looked unkempt, he scratched his behind before taking my card. I had to sanitize my cards. My daughter and I got to the room to find that the heat was off in the room. It was 8 degrees outside. Why is there no heat in the room? Because they didn't turn it on. And then, when we looked at the beds, the bedding had stains on it. There were half pillows on the beds. The towels were cheaper than walmart quality. My daughter and I did not stay there. We marched out of there, demanded a refund and went to a different hotel. And he was shocked that we left. THERE IS NO WAY YOU COULD PAY US TO STAY AT THAT NASTY PLACE! A WHOLE BUNCH OF NOPE! I WILL NEVER AGAIN RESERVE AT A SUPER 8!!!!

So sorry for the inconvenience that it may have caused when you at our hotel .And we will definitely discuss with our staff and the company that do our snow service to come often to push snow even though if it still snowing and drifting from stormy day.Thank you for giving us a chance that we were not able to meet your expectations. Again so sorry for the inconvenience from our entire staff.

The fridge didn’t work and they didn’t have a replacement. For 3 days they were out of coffee creamer. The guy who was there was clueless. No elevator.

I did not like the breakfast, it was leftover from previous days and tasted bad. There is no elevator so had to carry luggage up the stairs. I had to leave early for an emergency, and they would not give me a refund.

Desk staff were efficient but not outgoing. Location is quiet and a little out of the way for many travelers. Basic no-frills motel. Beds are comfortable. Hot water is no problem. A variety of dining places within a short drive. Good breakfast with hot and cold selections, but options were not replaced as they were used up, so if you come late there are fewer options. Would choose this motel again if staying in the area.

The property was clean. The parking lot, flower beds all looked great. Then you enter the property and see that it is well kept up as well. Room was simple basic room which was great for me. It was very clean and bed was good.

The hotel was under construction, so that was a surprise. However, they only did work between 8-5, so it didn't interrupt my sleep at all. The room I had was really nice and obviously very recently renovated. I'm usually a Marriott loyalist, but I chose this b/c it was $100 cheaper than the Fairfield Inn, and I have to think that the room was just as nice. The breakfast was really good (yogurt, cereal, fruit ... and instead of the usual wet eggs, it was biscuits and gravy that tasted homemade).

There are a lot of low to mid-range options in Oskaloosa. You would think the property would want to cater to families. Breakfast was HORRIBLE. Two cereal options, bread to make toast and fruit that was not fresh. There were ZERO protein options. There were ZERO hot items. This was a huge disappointment. When we return to Oskaloosa our business will be going somewhere else.

Good hotel
The hotel was fine for what it was. Not a high-end hotel, but that's not what I was looking for. Bed was comfortable, A/C & heater quiet, room good size, overall quiet. They were doing some remodeling while I was there, so some tools and equipment in the halls, etc. but did not affect my room or my stay. Very convenient location, but then, nothing in Oskaloosa is very far from anything else!

Quiet and clean
This was a 2 day last minute stay. The property is undergoing renovations but was still pretty quiet and exceptionally clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, even though i was ill, it was a pleasant stay.
