"The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast service area was very well designed and worked much better than most. The breakfast was excellent. Our only complaint was that apparently someone in an adjoining room was smoking in their bathroom with the vent fan. In any event, cigarette was coming into our bathroom. After I turned on our vent fan, the smoke was expelled, and everything smelled clear again in a short time."

"Absolutely beautiful home that was very comfortable and welcoming for our weekend get together. Our hostess and host were great communicators and everything went smoothly. I hope that we can come back and do this again! We were meeting up with friends to ride the High Trestle Trail, and even the weather cooperated nicely! We had such a nice time!"

"We had a wonderful time! 1. The amount of activities in the house for all ages was GREAT! Esp since we had a lot of rain during our stay. 2. The fenced in yard was perfect for the dogs & kids.3. The amount of spices & extras in the kitchen was wonderful! 4. The house was spacious & perfect for our 3 families to sleep & have fun."
Ankeny Heights - A 4 bedroom and 2 bath home

"The check-in was super easy and the listing was pretty much as described. There's a Hy-Vee grocery store within a half mile, which was super convenient. There is some local road construction which slowed things down a bit, but that project looks to be wrapping up soon. The property is nestled in a nice residential area. The property on the outside could have used some TLC. Yes, the lawn was freshly mowed, but the weeds were in full summer mode and the two trash bins by the garage were already filled past the brim. It wasn't the best look when we initially pulled up to the property. Pros - Inside, the air conditioning was set at a nice temperature and the rooms were clean. There were plenty of towels available. Check-out instructions and wifi information was posted in a highly visible location within the kitchen. We enjoyed the open concept living room, dining room and kitchen area. There were six in our party, so we pulled a couple of the extra stools up to the dining table to play board games in the evening, which was nice. Cons - Overall, we were happy with our stay, but a few improvements would elevate this listing. The bedroom I personally stayed in had two pillows in decorative shams, but no actual sleeping pillows. There's a hole in the wall where the bathroom door knob has bumped into the drywall. Most, if not all bedroom and bathroom doors creaked with each opening and closing. Minor things to be sure."
