The hotel is an easy walk from the train station where you arrive from the airport. Breakfast was generous. Evening meals varied in quality, but were very convenient, especially, the first night when you arrive jet lagged and exhausted. Serving staff for the dinners were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was generous in size with a sitting room and balcony.

The room was quite small but clean, warm and functional. The bath was great! There is no kettle in the room but a free coffee machine in reception whenever you want it. The breakfast was amazing - everything and more you could want. Fika at 3pm is a piece of cake and access to the coffee machine in the lounge and the evening meal was plentiful - always a soup starter, choice of main and 3 different salads and bread. It really saves a lot of money being half board in a capital city. Staff were friendly, our only issue was that on one day we wanted to order a packed lunch which is advertised at breakfast but 2 members of reception staff said they didn't know anything about it/ it was not possible. We just went and got food for our trip at the 7/11 shop on the corner so not really a big problem. Overall a 5 * stay.

Pleasant stay
Well located comfortable loved the circular lobby and free coffees/teas. Sumptuous breakfasts and light evening meals included were delicious. Cleaning on request. If I had one caveat room lighting could be brighter. I would stay again.

Great choice for Oslo
Room was compact but had everything you need- the breakfast exceeded my expectation- the staff were friendly and efficient, located 3 minutes walk from main rail station I will choose this hotel for future Oslo visits

Nice hotel, no parking and lack of few standards.
Hotel in great location walking distance from Oslo central station and nearby tourist attractions. Fantastic breakfast choices and a great dinner buffet included in the price. The downside of it was being rated as a 4 star hotel had minimal standard of any hotel fot the price being chargefd like the lack of any bottle of water in the room. If you arrive in the evening and nearby supermarket being closed and you need drinking water, then you are stuck till next day. Also if you plan to leave your luggage in the storage, it will be at your own risk as others will have access to storage and can easily walk out with your luggage without any proper checks in place by the receptionist. They literally let anyone walk in the storage as there are no tags of your room number or your name. Room is clean so is the hotel

Highly recommend!
The breakfast buffet was incredible and the option to do a light dinner and fika was great for us. The hotel offers some great options for self service, but the staff is fantastic if you need more help. We loved all the art in the lobby, would have loved to see a show at the theater if we had timed our visit to coincidence with a show. The location was also very convenient.

We arrived early in the morning and was lucky to be served by Dag who was the most hospitable staff you can ever find. We managed to settle down earlier with his kind assistance and this made alot of difference for the the rest of the day. Thank you for the great service rendered! Aside to the great staff we have met, the hotel location is very close to the train station and it is easy to access various tourist attractions such as the Vigeland Park, the opera house from the hotel. The room was clean and had adequate facilities. We stayed for 1 night so that was just sufficient for a good night's stay. We didn't managed to try the full board dinner but the breakfast was great. There was a good spread of food which was better than the breakfast from previous hotel chains we have stayed in. Overall, it was a value for money place to stay with great breakfast, convenient location and good service.

This hotel is in a very central location - just 3 minutes walk from Oslo S (central station). The property is quite interesting, within the historic theatre. I enjoyed my stay here, in particular the fabulous breakfast buffet and the room it was served in. The fika (cake and coffee time) on the seventh floor terrace/lounge was also a wonderful perk of staying here and I liked the lobby lounge as well, where you could help yourself to coffee or tea at any time. The hotel felt very secure (you can't access the floors without a key card). I did feel that the room I was in seemed a little "tired" - the bathroom seemed to have been recently refurbished so perhaps the rest of the room will be next?

Fantastic hotel. Great location.
Overall very nice. Great, no fantastic breakfast! Dinner bites were excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. One issue I had is the AC was not working in first room. Front desk changed my room quickly with no hassle. Great location walked everywhere. Trams right there. Lots of positive aspects of this hotel.

Good location. Tram/bus stop right in front of hotel. Train station is two blocks away. Many other attractions within walking distance. Good internet speed. Breakfasts are superb and the evening meal is certainly worthy, if not spectacular. Definitely keeps the eating out costs down. Didn't try the afternoon tea/dessert. No air conditioning at this place and Oslo is having a warm summer. No shelf space in the bathroom. Saturday nite a band was thumping well past midnite and made sleeping difficult. Something to consider if you're a light sleeper. All in all, I'd stay here again.

Lovely stay, great friendly staff
Was met by a very friendly receptionist who was great to deal with, had a pleasant chat and was made to feel very welcome. An evening meal was offered in the top floors as well a great breakfast which made someone with little appetite eat plenty of food. Was also very happy to see milk alternatives in the breakfast bar. Room was nice and clean and very comfortable. Would definitely like to come back.

Not as good as all the other times
The room was very small looking at nowhere even if the price was not as low for that. Of course the worst was that the room was not cleaned in-between the days i stayed. Definitely not staying there again.

Dear Efstratios,Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for your feedback!The room was not cleaned during the stay since we encourage all our guests to skip cleaning and therefore contribute to a greener future by directly supporting our climate fund. All the rooms are equipped with a Green Stay sign and a QR code where the guests can read about the concept and get detailed information about what their contribution means in practice.However it is of course up to the guest to choose the option. As long as you let us know about your wish to have the room cleaned by 10 am the day before, we will manage to arrange it happily.I regret that the communication was not provided clearly by the front desk upon arrival, which probably caused the misunderstanding!Hope you otherwise had a pleasant stay and welcome you on a later occasion!Yours truly,Naira LalayanGeneral Manager

Perfect Oslo Stopover
Great atmospheric location, heart of Oslo. Some rooms a bit dark, but I managed to get balcony room after some persuasion and loved it. Not a typical Clarion...inside the theater building. Nice dinner included...enjoyed on my balcony.

The darker interior and the lightening is a matter of atmosphere and design being determined with the history of the building being located in the previous Opera and Ballet House that has now been transformed into Folketheater building giving joy to the public with successful and popular musicals.
