The central heating was on when I arrived late at night so the cottage was cosy and warm. Plenty of hot water. The kitchen and dining area is very light and spacious with great views of countryside. The cottage is next to a working farm so lots of sheep and cows. I was visiting friends and family ten minutes walk away. You do need to have a car when staying here, there is nothing but beautiful scenery and peace and quiet. Shops and restaurants are not within walking distance. But nothing is too far away and there is never a traffic jam on Islay and always something to see !
