Run down and dirty Spacious lovely hotel

Posted 20-Jul-2016
Could be a beautifully hotel unfortunately dirty from the steps in the entrance to the foyers and gets worse as you enter dirty elevator and dirty hallways. However the room seemed clean till Unfortunately I looked behind the bed to connect me phone there was old tissues and built up dirt and fluff. The phone in the room didn't work some of the fixtures in the bathroom was broken a couple of lights not working. the air con was not working in the main foyer and was uncomfortable eating breakfast in the heat. I am not sure how staff coped it was really hot at the front desk and on main areas. It was great there was a laundry on site however the air con wasn't working on the 4th floor either by the time the washing was finished my shirt was wet with sweat. Not to mention the lights didn't work either in the laundry so I used my phone for a torch.

Not a great stay

Posted 19-Jul-2016
Pros: Balcony. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Maintenance! AC running poorly or not at all in some rooms. Smell in the hallways is worse than ever. Breakfast not worth the money.
Location: Closest hotel to the Orange county jail. This is not close to any tourist attractions. Spend $20 more and stay on I-drive or near Disney.
This hotel was decent a year ago. It has progressively gotten worse. Poor maintenance, staff inattentive, and unscrupulous guests. I tend to think this hotel mostly houses visitors for the jail a few blocks away.

Very disappointing.

Posted 17-Jul-2016
It was so hot in the lobby area and hallways. Receptionist was rude and acted as if she was doing us a personal favor. My husband almost slid and fell over the balcony because of molded water leaking from the AC unit. This was more a "motel" than a hotel. Looks great on the outside but we were sadly mistaken. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

Absolute nightmare

Posted 04-Jul-2016
I was in Orlando for 36 hours for a very important business meeting. The first thing I noticed upon entering the hotel was how hot and humid it was inside the lobby. They obviously do not have airconditioning in the lobby. It smelled like mold and mildew, the industrial fan they had blowing on the front desk did nothing. I was concerned about the temperature in my room, but it was pleasantly cool in there. That is all that was pleasant. The moldy smell that was in the lobby carried into my room, and the first thing I noticed was how dirty the room appeared to be. There were stains on the carpet and the bed looked like it had been hastily made. There was a flimsy blanket on the bed which was shredded in places, and it was obvious the sheets had not been changed. There was crumbs of food and HUMAN HAIR all over in the sheets. The bathroom was a complete disgusting mess as well. The shower was dirty, the towels were stained, and there were pieces of toilet paper all over the floor. All in all it looked like the room had not been cleaned since the hotel opened. I would rather have slept in my car, which I was tempted to do. I ended up laying my blanket from the plane on top of the bed and laying on that, using a sweatshirt as a blanket. Needless to say I did not get any sleep and was very drowsy the next day at my meeting. When I approached the front desk upon checkout the lady was unconcerned, not even offering an apology.

The rooms were old and need to be up graded. There were little bugs flying around in the shower. I would have been very disappointed if I had not gotten the discounted rate

Great for business and families

Posted 06-Jun-2016
Pros: Comfortable and the staff makes you feel at home - facility has balconies
Cons: Condition of the hotel - needs some renovation
Location: Great location for my visit here in Orlando
Traveling is more fun when you feel at home with your accomodations. I have enjoyed the staff and the other guests at this facility. Feels like a safe place. I was comfortable here throughout my stay. It was clean. Featured some nice amenities - coin op laundry, breakfast, and all of the other standard offerings. Rooms are larger than most more modern facilities today. Provisions in the room are very good. The breakfast served is full fare for a moderate fee.
