Cute and cozy villa away from the madness
This villa complex is the perfect place to stay if you want a quite home away-from-home and a break from the Disney madness. We were still a close 2-mile drive from the theme parks, which was great skipping the traffic on I-4 and World Drive, and also far enough away when we craved peace and quiet. We were able to see the Magic Kingdom fireworks from our second story villa!
I'd say this resort is best suited for couples/tourists without kids. Lots of golfers and older couples here. The resort doesn't have amenities for young kids except a pool (which was shut down for maintenance while we were there). The continental breakfast only had muffins and waffles, coffee, and juice; and note it's only on Sunday's and mondays. If you're in the mood for a 5-star resort that has endless restaurants, a swim up bar, and a kid activity center, this is NOT the place for you. BUT, if you are a young couple like we are who wants to enjoy the joy of Disney as well as sightsee and wander off on our own adventures, this IS just right for you. If the latter is your cup of tea, check out Mystic Dunes with Diamond Resorts.
The rooms are extremely clean, balconies are screened in, the pillows and beds are to die for, and STOCKED kitchen! Even comes equipped with a carrot peeler! Everything you need to feel at home.
