Nice hotel, better then a 3 star.

Posted 08-Feb-2016
Pros: Clean, modern and nice staff. There are some real dumps in Orlando.
Cons: The breakfast was a little over priced.
Location: Was going on a cruise the next morning and I just needed a one night stay at a hotel in Orlando.
I have stayed in many hotels in the Orlando area over the years. This one was one of the best. I will definitely stay here again when the need arises.

Good hotel at a great price

Posted 06-Feb-2016
Pros: Good location near Universal Studios
Cons: Better coffee at the mini market
Location: Great location near Universal Studios
This hotel was really nice. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room itself was very good.. unfortunately, the location of the room (119) was not. I was given a room on the first floor facing the parking lot and next to the door where people come in and out of the hotel from the parking lot. It was noisy and I had to keep the curtains closed all the time.

Great Location. Needs Some Serious Investment!

Posted 05-Feb-2016
Pros: Location. Car rental.
Cons: The décor, the HVAC. The breakfast. The entire cocktail lounge.
Location: It is in the heart of Universal, Sea World, Wet N Wild, etc. Outlet mall nearby is awesome.
You Get What You Pay For! Reservation couldn't be found. I was told I was probably at the wrong Best Western as there are 7 in the Orlando area. I showed them the reservation on my Expedia app and suddenly it appears! The room was adequate. It was dated. It did have a microwave and fridge, and was a little tight. The restroom was tiny. But it was clean enough. When I think of a cocktail lounge in Florida I think of relaxing, being comfortable and possibly having a tropical drink. Don't be fooled-you will have a choice of 4 domestic beers, no draft as their system in broken and will be asked promptly at midnight to leave as they shut the door and close. Breakfast is complimentary if you book at Expedia. We wound up going to find our own breakfast after the first morning. It was once again adequate. However it was FREEZING in the lounge (yes it gets cold in Orlando so your heat should be on or work!) There was nothing interesting about the food or the 2 dozen empty tables left to be bussed-pretty unappetizing. We didn't use the pool, game room, tennis or basketball courts but they looked to be in good shape. They also have a small store that looked pleasant enough. One of the last features that was one of the most handy was that there is car rental on site. This was a big reason for us to book here an they were great. Overall-You get what you pay for in all things in life! Word to the wise!

Relatively cheap

Posted 03-Feb-2016
Location: You definitely need a car to get around Orlando, especially if you are visiting downtown or the theme parks. Cheaper than taxis.
The room stank of some cleaning product; Did the prior guest smoke and this was how they "clean" the room? Spray a massive amout of air freshner? Bathroom floors were quite dirty under the counter. Other than that, the room size was good.

You get what you pay for

Posted 03-Feb-2016
Pros: The staff and cleanliness of the rooms.
Cons: A portion of the wall in the lobby crumbled when we slightly bumped it with the luggage cart, so I would say some general maintenance needs done.
Location: Close to Disney theme parks and good restaurants.
This is a hotel that is 3-star, average. It was exactly what we paid for: a clean place to shower and sleep for the night. Hotel staff was great, though.

Only a 15 minute walk to Universal Studios!

Posted 31-Jan-2016
Pros: Convenience, comfort, cleanliness. Good food at breakfast.
Cons: Shuttle was a hassle. You had to pick times and get a ticket before leaving the hotel. Would not allow us to have only a return ticket for evening.
Location: 15 minute walking distance to Universal. Easy to reach from airport.
This was a very nice hotel. We were quite comfortable, a shuttle was offered to Universal Studios but it was only a 15 minute walk. We didn't pay for Universal parking at all though we had a rental car. The breakfast buffet was not included in the price but was very good for the extra all you can eat price, with an omelette/egg bar, plenty of meat, waffles, etc. No lack of choice for any diet. We enjoyed our stay very much.
