We stayed in Oriskany specifically to be on our way to viewing the solar eclipse the next day. So, for us, it could have been less impressive, especially at the low price we got (while everything else was $800/night). It was Canine Central that night, which was great, since we travel with 2 dogs. What was particularly impressive was that when we complained about the something not working, the manager explained that we hadn't used it correctly (and he was right), but then gave us a discount, anyway! That night, there was a smell in the hallway when you'd leave the lobby area turning left, moving passed the door marked Hotel Manager. I think it's because the garbage can is there, and maybe people were depositing dog waste there. I'm sure it was an unusual situation due to so many traveling on a budget with pets for the once-in-a-lifetime solar event.

So this morning as I went to grab a towel to dry off , opened the towel and found a large bug rolled up in a pile of hair. Beyond nasty . Towels are already not that clean then to find this little surprise . Should have payed attention to the negative reviews . Avoid this place if you can .

The staff were friendly, The room I stayed in was modest. There was no ironing board, no iron , one bedside table, no lamps , nothing decorative…. There’s a huge lobby and breakfast room however only coffee is available.

Clean, well maintained. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Bare bones. Vending machines in lobby. No in room coffee makers. No breakfast/breakfast staples. Physically, rather remote. No restaurants, grocery store or gas station/convenience store near by.

It's perfectly adequate for staying overnight. Very plain inside the room. Bed is fine. Not enough electric outlets. The couple behind the front desk is very nice and accommodating.

Quick in and out/Job interview.
The hotel was what I was expecting. Definitely served it's purpose. The only thing missing was an iron and ironing board.

Needed to plug my laptop in, but my 6-foot cord did not reach from the desk to the nearest available wall outlet some 15 feet away. No washcloth in the bathroom for my morning shower. The list of TV channels said it had HBO. It did not!

The room was very nice. We needed an extension cord for my husbands CPAP machine and the were able to help us. They also helped me print a paper I really needed. The staff went above and beyond. Would recommend and would stay again.

The room had a bad smell. The tub and shower didn’t look like it was cleaned. The two towels that were in the room was dirty/stained up. The ceiling above the shower head was leaking cold water.

Needs some TLC
Mattresses were decent. Pillows need to be replaced. Shower head had very good pressure and temperature was very good. Place is in need of major overhaul. Stairwell was dirty. In the morning, there was a pile of garbage in the hallway. Overall, if I had to stay there again, I might just choose to sleep in the car at a rest area.

Our room was gross. The bathroom is the easiest part of the room to clean and there was toothpaste spit all over the sink faucet and the shower was full of black mildew and random pieces of hair. The white towels were grayish and stained. The chairs were all stained. We were so grossed out we just left.

Disappointingly dirty
Traveling with my dogs and I just wanted a cheap pet friendly place close to the highway. This place was all that except it was filthy. Clean towels but would it have killed you to wash the sink. The bed was like a covered cardboard box but the sheets were fresh. Do yourself a favor pay a bit more and get a place that can afford soap.

Not a Good place to Stay. Over priced for the condition and upkeep (If Any) of the place. Smell was Horrible... Garbage stacked up in hallways next to very Dirty, Leaking ice machines. Dirty towels and linens were piled in hallways. NO ELEVATOR to get to 2nd Floor. Stair well reaked and had filthy Dirty concrete. Didn't dare touch the Handrails. Room smelled of Bleach and Stale Dirty clothes. Bathroom was Horrible. Floors had hair and dirt from previous occupants. Walls had either dirt or mold. The room floors were dirty and Sticky and the window latch didn't Lock. I wouldn't recommend staying at this place even if it was last room available. I would much rather Sleep in my car at a Thruway rest stop. All Around Bad Place.

Hotel smells. Stairwell looks like it came from a horror movie. No shampoo in shower. Towels are less than optimal. OK if you need to spend a night and can not find other accommodations
