Family trip to Disney
We stayed 5 nights at this hotel recently. The hotel had great service and friendly staff. The room was huge and spacious which was great for a growing family of 5. After unloading we noticed a wet spot on the carpet near the bathroom and thought it could be a leak so we mentioned to staff. They checked it out and informed us it was alright. However the whole trip that spot in the room caused a musty gross smell. We had already unpacked and barely spent any time in the room or I would have asked to get a new room. For being a Marriot hotel the room was also not quite up to my expectations. Rust in bathtub, peeling wall paper, gross dirty grout. The hide-a-bed is not even worth attempting to use. It was HORRIBLE. It cut me as I opened due to the springs being broken. The bed was so lopsided my teenager just looked at it and decided he'd rather sleep on the couch. Absolute crap. The location is pretty far from Disney which makes paying for parking seem silly. I get free parking at the parks so we didn't use the shuttle offered. Our room faced the parks and we could somewhat see the fireworks from the 3rd floor. Breakfast was mostly good, lots and lots of choices but around 8 it gets pretty crazy and they run out of items. We missed the reception time because we were at parks except on Wednesday which was Sundaes. Elevators could be quite slow at times but typical of most big hotels.
