Girl's Disney Trip

Great hotel with easy access to shuttles to Disneyland or any other location you might want to adventure to in the LA area.

Great hotel

We love the breakfast buffet! So many choices of both hot and cold breakfast foods. Healthy options and fresh fruit. Our room was huge! I think they need to do some maintenance to the room though. The bathroom storage racks were hanging off tge wall and the bathrooms were smelly like old water. I think its time they do some painting and clean the carpets but I'm sure with lots of families going through its hard to keep up with. The pool and hot tub were great and the area was always clean with plenty of towels! We really love staying at this hotel.

Always like staying @ a residence inn

The staff is always friendly, smiling & helpful. The layout of the room & facility is so family friendly. And the rooms are exactly what we are looking for.

Freezing room

Our room temp was 54 when we first arrived.. Changed the thermostat in hopes that it would warm up. It didn't. Security came to change. It didn't. Froze all night.

Vacation To go to Disneyland

First time to stay at the hotel. Everyone enjoyed the hotel accommodations. Especially the kitchen for the evening. It was a good choice for our family.

Very friendly staff. Nice quality breakfast. Shuttle to Disney was convenient and good value. Very excited to visit again.

Family trip to Disney

Pros: Large room, good service, great breakfast choices.
Cons: Upgrades, cleanliness, take away fee for parking (unless offering a free shuttle to parks).
We stayed 5 nights at this hotel recently. The hotel had great service and friendly staff. The room was huge and spacious which was great for a growing family of 5. After unloading we noticed a wet spot on the carpet near the bathroom and thought it could be a leak so we mentioned to staff. They checked it out and informed us it was alright. However the whole trip that spot in the room caused a musty gross smell. We had already unpacked and barely spent any time in the room or I would have asked to get a new room. For being a Marriot hotel the room was also not quite up to my expectations. Rust in bathtub, peeling wall paper, gross dirty grout. The hide-a-bed is not even worth attempting to use. It was HORRIBLE. It cut me as I opened due to the springs being broken. The bed was so lopsided my teenager just looked at it and decided he'd rather sleep on the couch. Absolute crap. The location is pretty far from Disney which makes paying for parking seem silly. I get free parking at the parks so we didn't use the shuttle offered. Our room faced the parks and we could somewhat see the fireworks from the 3rd floor. Breakfast was mostly good, lots and lots of choices but around 8 it gets pretty crazy and they run out of items. We missed the reception time because we were at parks except on Wednesday which was Sundaes. Elevators could be quite slow at times but typical of most big hotels.

We only stayed here for 4 nights but had 3 different rooms. We were only in the first room for a few seconds when we knew it wouldn't be acceptable - it literally smelled like rotten fish. We called the front desk to let them know and they moved us to a different room without any issues. The next room smelled fine, so we proceeded to unpack. At that point, we realized they had put us in a queen room even though we had booked a king room. Too tired to complain or move again, we just decided to put up with it. When we went to cook dinner, we discovered that there weren't any large pots or pans. We called the front desk and they told us there was a shortage so they would have to send someone to an unoccupied room to try to find some. Then, in the middle of the night, we discovered that the air conditioning wasn't working. So, the next day we changed rooms again. After several hours of waiting for a new room, they moved us to another queen room. Later, I went to use the fitness center and the A/C was broken in there, too. The next morning we discovered the A/C must have been broken in a large portion of the hotel because the lobby/breakfast area was swelteringly hot for the duration of the trip. The clincher was that the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable (in both rooms we slept in), which is one of the most important things to us. Overall, this hotel just seemed poorly maintained and poorly managed. We won't be staying here again.
