Great stay and very convenient to shopping, food, and entertainment within walking distance. Room I stayed in could have used updates but overall great. Also, loved the full service Starbucks on site.

You couldn't see the beach

Main Restuarant was under construction & bar was closing early Servise horrible & prices was expensive

Unorganized hotel staff

Nobody knew what was going on. We ordered extra blankets/pillows, after an hour of waiting we went down stairs had to wait for another 25 minutes for the stuff we requested. They lost my keychain in the valet and the girl just had absolutely no idea what was going on. It was nice hotel besides the service

Cosy despite the cold weather

Could have used an extra blanket in the closet. Door opened to outside and it was cold. But heat was on when when came inside and staff and room service were quick.

Spiders!

Pros: Location was good
Cons: They need to spray for spiders.
Location: beach is close by
This hotel is infested with spiders. I didn't see any spiders until the sun went down. When I woke up to use the restroom around midnight there were spiders everywhere. My first room I killed 3 spiders in the middle of the night then finally requested to be moved after one hid behind the headboard and I couldn't kill it. When maintenance got there I showed them 3 more spiders I found which were all 1 1/2 inches long. Big ones. I didn't kill them so they could see the problem. I requested to be in a different building and on a higher floor but the only options they gave me were the same building, same floor or a small room with a roll out bed. I took the normal room and we found 5 more spiders in there! I complained more and they gave me a room in a different building on the 16th floor. I couldn't believe it when we got there we killed another spider right above the bed! It was now 3am and I had to sleep so I told them I will just stay so I could rest. When I rolled the blankets back another spider ran out from under the pillows. The next day I killed 2 more spiders, 1 on the bed again. I only had 1 more night to stay so I stayed there. Didn't get much sleep though thinking of spiders and feeling itchy like they were crawling on me. When I got home my wife found a spider bite behind my ear. I got antibiotics from the doctor for it and now it is draining puss out. Such a disappointment for a resort, this is more like camping. Bring bug spray!

Nice Location, but Dated

Pros: Location. Staff friendly.
Cons: Add more amenities.
Location: Shopping, restaurants, beach activities.
Excellent location near Fashion Island Shopping Center and ocean. Disappointed by how few amenities were offered in the room. No bathrobe, no slippers, no shower cap, etc. Bathroom is small. First room was next to a 40th birthday party celebration so I had to change rooms. For being in Newport Beach with a significant amount of competition next door, I expected higher quality.

Pros: Its location
Cons: nothing.
Location: Near a shopping area that I didn't have time to shop at.
I requested an early check in to my room due to my early flight. The staff was very good and helped me find food to lunch even though the dinning room was closed.

Disappointing

Pros: Room was comfortable
Cons: Better staffing and service during slower times. You should take it out on customers that do book during those times.
Location: Fashion Island, movie theater, tons of restaurants both regular and high end in walking distance. Great views of the ocean are available.
This trip, even though it was Christmas time, the food was good and the room was very nice, the staff was skeleton crew only. Took forever to get someone to answer the phone for room service. Upon checking out we could not get anyone to answer for valet service to our room for bags. I had to go down to the valet stand and ask them to go to the room where my husband was waiting with our bags. While waiting on my husband/valet I was trying to check out and it took over 15 minutes waiting for someone to appear from behind the door. Finally the assistant manager assisted us on checking out and retrieving our car from valet service. Very disappointed.

The only thing we were surprised by was the 200.00 for parking and hotel fees! Really we have to pay for parking!!! But other than that it was nice!
