It is close to the hwy and you can get to grocery stores pretty quickly. Next to several restaurants you can walk to and a gas station. The property is unique and beautiful, but I am sure its age has its challenges with upkeep. This is our 2nd time staying here. The plus is there is room enough for our family of 6 to all be in 1 room and there is a pool everyone can enjoy. We did have some leaking (from heavy rains) in our room so they moved us to a different room. Our first room has a mini fridge with freezer that worked great and a microwave that worked great, but the phone wasnt working. The 2nd one didnt have a freezer part and the mocrowave didnt spin, but it worked for what we needed it for. The humidity level is a bit higher in the silo rooms because you have cement walls/floor/ceilings, but if you turn the AC up a little it isnt too bad.I actually prefer it to be a little humid. The bathrooms didnt really have vents/fans that worked right so super humid in there. The train does go by once in awhile (you can feel it) but that didnt really bother me. I always bring earplugs when I travel because I am not use to outside traffic noise and such. Not that you could really hear it from inside. Overall we would happily stay again. It is safer and nicer than most places in its price range and the free full breakfast just makes it that much better. And beds are comfy.

There was HAIRS on the WALL that was not mine or my daughter’s. The bedspread had suspicious stains on it. I did not want to use it because it looked bloody-ish. We asked to check out an hour late and was told we needed to be out within 30 minutes. Felt like we got the bum’s rush when the process of packing and leaving was already stressful.

The only reason why I gave it two stars and not one is because the receptionist was willing to work with us about getting a different room which smelled like someone smoked in it and was dirty and the concrete walls make feel like you are in prison therefore not enjoyable at all, she was able to get a room although it was for handicap people, this room was in a different structure where the rooms were somewhat more conventional

Everything was good. Only problem was the fridge in room froze everything I brought with me. Ruined about $50 worth of food. Which really put a damper on my food budget for the weekend!

Rooms were in a converted grain silo with concrete walls. Mattresses were worn out. The train tracks were within feet of our window and the train went by several times. Felt like a prison cell. Were scheduled for 3 nights but checked out after 1.

I was not advised that the room would not be cleaned. I would appreciate being advised that clean towels and bed sheets would not be accommodated. The elevator was broken the entire time - the stairwell is unsanitary. Water pressure in the shower is low and water drains slowly.

The second part of the hotel used to be old silos which were renovated to rooms and the room 133 was in need of another update. The window looked like it was taken off its track as if someone crawled through, the carpet below the A.C./Heater was soaking wet like it was leaking, the tub felt as if the floor would drop out from under you and had stains around the drain, they only provided one tiny shampoo bottle and no conditioner.

This is an older hotel but we stayed in the metal and concrete building which was clean and unique. The bathroom could use an update as well as the bedroom furniture but for the price we’d sleep there again. It was actually very quiet given it was next to a train.

I wasn’t very impressed with their “industrial”look. My walls were cement which made it seem like it was still under construction. The elevator was broken and my room smelt like cigarettes even tho it was a non- smoking room. They did have a fridge, microwave, and coffee machine. The hot tub pool area was basic, I think the pictures made it look nicer. The free breakfast was fine.

Train Tracks almost on top of the hotel.
The train track right behind the hotel runs from 5am to 11pm it’s straight out of a I love Lucy show. No way we would ever go back.

We stayed here for our 3 day trip to Knott's Berry Farm and would happily stay again. Our family of 6 was able to stay all in the same room with room to spare comfortably. Although it did rain a lot while we were there we still had an enjoyable stay. The kids were able to at least enjoy the hot tub for a little bit during our stay. It is all outdoors so keep that in mind. Breakfast was a nice plus, but if you have diet restrictions it probuably isnt going to be for you. Waffles, cold cereal, oatmeal, muffins, bagels, toast, coffee, hot cocoa, juices, yogurt and some fruits (apples, bananas and oranges while we were there). But for me and the kids it was perfectly sufficient. Location was right off the hwy and we were usually at Knotts gate within 30 mins (would prob be less without traffic and without pouring rain). The neighborhood seemed safe and denny's right next door if you didnt want a sugar filled breakfast. The microwave was a little messed up (didnt spin) but it worked for what we needed and the fridge didnt really stay a consitant temp but to store water it was fine. We did not have issues with noise of trains or cars in our room and we stayed in one of the big grain silo rooms facing the parking lot. Oh! Also parking was free and we could park right near our entrance so that was nice. Elevator was down the first day but up and going the 2nd. Faster to just take the stairs to the 2nd floor though. Overall it was comfy and safe.
