Lost My Business

My first stay at this hotel was so-so, but the location to my client is perfect so I decided to book again. Not his particular trip I needed to stay somewhere that accepts cash deposits for incidentals but I did not find out until after arriving that this was against their policy. I explained that I had pre-paid for the room for three nights and had plenty of cash to cover incidentals for all nights. No dice. I further offered, that, since there was nothing actually open for me to charge anything to my room that I would deposit the money in the bank first thing next morning and use my debit card to cover incidentals for the remainder of my stay. To add insult to injury, the night clerk told me "But what if you trash the place?" I was astounded. On the plus side, they were all too happy to let me cancel my reservation and a friendly rep from Hotels.com assisted me with other arrangements with a hotel happy to have my business. And guess what? I managed not to trash the place.
