"if you booked here you probably couldnt find anything closer to big sur. It is cheap and 2 hours away. The bed is hard af. But i will give credit that it is clean and has parking and the staff helped check us in pretty fast. the price ehh makes sense i guess. Anyways i reccommend that if you take this place on your way to big sur you take the route that is shaped like a 'u' because the drive is beautiful but wavy. On the ride home take the rainbow shape back and stop by carmel because its beautiful and they have good gelato by the sea and lastly because its more of a straight road so the drive back is easier. all in all this is a good place if its last minute and cheap."
"The room are decent. It would have been nice if the room had more light or more brighter. The furniture did looked like it needed an upgrade. The comfort of the bed was great. The breakfast was decent for a motel. They did had some bananas, corn flakes, milk, coffee, apple/orange juice, bread butter jellies some pastry, granola bars etc. there was a toaster and microwave too in the common area as well.
The fire alarm went off in the morning and it was very irritating. It took almost 5-10 min for it to stop. I didn’t see any fire truck. Not sure what exactly happened and why it went off.
One thing’s I was very upset about was the hot water in the morning. The water was not that hot. Just little Luke warm. In the middle of my shower the water became very cold to freezing cold. I had no option but to just get out of the shower. I did not expect something like this. After my shower my family members wanted to to go have shower as well. That’s when I called the front desk. They took my room number and told a technician would come take a look. The technician came almost an hour later just when we were about to checkout. It was very disappointing how much time the staff took to even come look into this issue.
The front desk staff did apologize for the hot water issue but it doesn’t help in any way if you are unable to get fresh in the morning which should be one of the basic amenities for a hotel."
