Had never taken a trip through the hills before, highly recommended, and if you’d like staying away from the hustle and bustle then this place is the one. Almost off-grid feeling, but flushing toilet, kitchen hob, fridge provide easy conveniences. It rained a lot while we were there so we were lucky we bought spare outdoor clothes as it was a little difficult to dry things with the limited heating. But wonderful stay - highly recommended, good contact with the host if and when we needed it. "

"It was our first time staying at the Crowne Plaza in Christchurch, and we absolutely loved it, definitely worth coming back. Check-in was slightly slow, which could be improved. The room was beautiful, though the body moisturizer didn’t pump properly and may have been empty. There was also no complimentary water bottle provided. On the positive side, the breakfast buffet was delicious and the staff were wonderful."
