Nice hotel and staff but....

I was put in a room on the bottom floor next to the pool. The ability to sleep was impossible! The staff and hotel are amazing but, there was some kid event going on and the banging was crazy! The kids ran up and down the halls until late. The room above us started banging on the floor at 6 am. At times it sounded like they were in our room. I am not sure why we were put in that room or if it was because we booked thru here.

Registration Desk

Friday and Saturday night registration clerks seemed tired and out of sorts, although they did do their job. Compare that to Sunday morning, the different staff was bright and cheerful and dressed for the position. I don't want anyone getting in trouble, but a smile at check-the would have been nice. I had worked that day, then drove six hours to take my granddaughter to National Dance Competition at Lagoon. A Smile would have meant so much when I checked in!

BEWARE of the Hampton Inns

I have stayed 4 times in Hampton Inn hotels in the last year and you MUST be careful. Hotels in Boise and West Jordan Utah were good experiences. Las Vegas was terrible.wrong size beds, staff that didn't care, breakfast line wrapped out of the breakfast area. They didn't have any oatmeal even and I don't even like oatmeal. But the final straw for using this hotel chain was Layton Utah. We were travelling by car and were planning on a special dinner at the Red Iguana, which can easily be a 1.5 hour wait to get a table. So being proactive I called the hotel and was assured arriving later would not be a problem and there was no problem paying in cash. An hour later my reservation was cancelled and our room gone. Never again. Roll the dice if you want to but I would advise finding a different chain just because of the inconsistencies, you might have a good trip and then again you could have a nightmare.

Dirty beds

Found several hairs in the bedding and had to request new sheets because it was just so gross. The mattress pads never get changed and had hairs as well. So freaking gross. I couldn't get comfortable all night because of it.

Hotel with Awesome Bed

Pros: Clean, easy to find, friendly helpful staff, comfortable bed, good breakfast, close to restaurants. This hotel had a very welcoming atmosphere.
Location: We checked in late and were starving after travelling for 11 hours, we ordered a take out Rib Dinner from a restaurant across the street, that was fab
I phoned to advise of late check-in and to remind the staff that I was travelling with 2 small dogs. The staff with a very friendly voice assured me the room would be waiting an the dogs were welcome. Very friendly desk clerk quickly checked us in and was very helpful when I enquired about nearby restaurants. There was easy access for dog trips out. The bed was one of the best in terms of comfort (mattress, comforter and pillows). There were several choices of nearby restaurants. (within walking distance) The shampoo, rinse, soaps and lotions were of high quality.

Great place close to the base

Have stayed there on multiple occasions and it's been great. Unfortunately I am not going to be able to stay there again in November for thanksgiving as they have no available rooms via Expedia.

Spacious hotel room and great breakfast

Pros: Breakfast, bed comfort.
Cons: Some noise from room above and hallway noise - not sure how it can be improved.
Location: Lots of restaurants nearby.
The room was spacious, new and very clean. The breakfast area was large, very well maintained, spotless and excellent food.

Perfect stay

I was at the Hampton in Layton for the last five night. I enjoyed the spacious, clean room, and the staff is great. Great value. Friendly. Ideal for me.
