Very good hotel and excellent service.

Posted 17-Apr-2017
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Maybe a more organized front desk, but nothing major.
Location: Great location and view Tejo river.
We had a wonderful time at Solplay and we highly recommend it if you are going to Lisbon. They even have a shuttle to take you to downtown. Breakfast was awesome! Service was amazing and we will definitely go back on our next visit to Portugal.

Amazing views make this hotel special

Posted 14-Apr-2017
Pros: The view! Did I mention that already?
Cons: A bit more TLC on the fixtures and fittings....
Location: You need to not mind a good walk - every day - and one with plenty of hills. Or be prepared to take taxis. But that applies to Lisbon generally!
If you have an apartment with a pool / river view, then the view is truly something - a wonderful vista over the estuary, the historical Belem part of Lisbon and the bridge and Christo Rei in the background. The rooms are clean and large and the staff on reception are friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. Breakfast was very pleasant, lots of choice and good quality. The only thing that stops this being a five star review is that the hotel is in places starting to show its age - the rooms and furniture are a bit scuffed in places, the air con was patchy at best and some of the fixtures in the kitchen had seen better days - but for us this certainly didn't stop us having a very enjoyable stay and we felt also one offering good value for money. So, don't expect perfection, but you should have a perfectly enjoyable stay.

Family Vacation

Posted 10-Apr-2017
Nice week at Solplay. Very good indoor pool. Pity the outdoor pool is not heated. Our apartment had a connecting door which was not sound proof. Luckily most of the time the next door apartment was unoccupied.

Has everything you need

Posted 30-Nov-2016 on Orbitz
Pros: It had everything I needed right there. Was so relaxed I really didn't even care if I did a lot of sight seeing.
Cons: Only thing I wasn't aware of they didn't explain was how the lights worked with the key. This was the 1st hotel I'd been in with it; a great concept!!
Location: Has everything gym, spa, restaurant. Food great & reasonably priced. Some diners/stores walking distance or Uber close to train station.
The main purpose for going to Lisbon was to meet a friend. Sol Play Hotel was in the area close to where they lived and I liked it had a gym & laundry available. Was I ever surprised in a good way!! It had everything I could ask for and more!!! Great gym, spa, hair salon, and great restaurant!!! And the washer / dryer right in my room. I was so comfortable there I didn't do a lot of sight seeing (it was cooler & not exactly beach weather). I enjoyed simply relaxing, using the gym, walking around the area. It was nice to charge meals & everything to my room and pay once so only 1 international fee on my card. The staff is so friendly & helpful with anything you need. I do plan to go back to Lisbon some day in warmer weather & I can do some sight seeing & will definitely stay here when I do; can also then enjoy their pool & tennis court too!!

Big big rooms and friendly staff!

Posted 18-Oct-2016
Booked this hotel through Expedia blind deal where you book the hotel at a certain price without knowing where you going to stay. It was a bit of a shock that the hotel was in Oeiras (a good 25 to 30 min drive depending on traffic) but there was nothing I could do. It was a great experience though. I arrived early in the morning and couldn't check in until 4pm (a bummer) and after travelling for almost 24h all I wanted was a shower. The reception was nice enough to provide towels and I could use the swimming pool changing room to shower and freshen up. The hotel is big and has 2 swimming pools (one indoor). Breakfast was very nice with Nespresso coffee machines available (made me super happy!!) and the food was really good with a great variety. Room was big and very comfortable with kitchenette and a washing machine, big balcony. The hotel offers a shuttle to Lisbon and it was very convenient. I recommend it if you don't want to stay in Lisbon or if you rent a car (self parking available as well). Nice experience!

Love this place!

Posted 11-Oct-2016 on Hotels
This place was great! It's a little resort! It had everything we needed especially a washer/dryer. Living out of a carryon traveling thru Europe for 2 weeks this place was a dream come true. Not to mention the service from Liliana C. At the front office! She gave us the best service ever! The other people in the front would ignore us or seemed very busy but when Liliana was there she was ready and very attentive! She is Amazing! Thank you Liliana for making our experience nothing but perfect!
