Overall a pleasent experience. Nice and convenient for families, not a choice for solo traveler as myself. I paid same price as 2adults w/2kids, yet it is extra charge for safe, and wifi. The rooms and resort grounds are clean, spacious, short walk to the beach w/chairs and umbrellas available. The English TV channels are limited to news, no music channel except ethnic balkanic and Romanian. I don't care for alcohol, I wish I had a choice instead. Hint: wi fi package.
The staff is nice and works hard, there are language and cultural barriers. We rented total of 4 rooms, each was in a different building no effort of consolidating our rooms. The reception lady tried to be very efficient in her own way, handed the keys quickly to guests, but held passports to finish what is the check in routine. Everyone complied, but traveling from US, that made me very uncomfortable and I made it clear I would not leave w/o my passport:)
The rooms were nice, the shower drains were very slow, despite prompt staff maintenance call response.
I enjoyed very much the Spa, decent massage prices, and Daniela is very skilled and professional therapist.
The food was good, most importantly there were plenty fresh options vegetables, salads, and fruit.
The resort coffee is only instant, but I was pleased to find Tropicana coffee bar on the beach with great coffee, desert options, and included wifi and great service from Victoria(Vicky)
Obzor shuttle is available. Taxi 1 hour from Varna airport.
Pros: Clean, spacious rooms with AC. Pleasent staff, good food with plenty fresh options. Short nice walk to the beach with beach lounge chairs available.
Cons: Package options for solo travelers. I paid same price as 2adults/2kids would pay. I do not care for alcohol. But safe, wifi, was for extra charge.
Location: About an hour taxi from Varna airport. 20 min by foot to Obzor or 5 min by shuttle.
