Good stay

We had a good stay and the rate was pretty good. The only thing is they should buy more towels every time we asked the front desk she was still washing ๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ˜•

Near the Marina

Just wanted to visit some friends, the hotel was priced fair and allowed me access to the entire Bay Area

Worst Hotel Experience--Ever.

Pros: The location was good. But that's it.
Cons: They need to hire staff that actually care about customer service. Advise guests in advance that cooking supplies are not provided/must be checked out
Location: The location is nice as it's by a marina. There's great retail nearby (Target, Safeway) and restaurants which look new.
I have stayed at my fair share of hotels during my 55 years of life and never once have I felt the need to share my experience on a review site. My recent stay at this hotel changed that precedent. My husband I booked a non-smoking room through Expedia. Issue 1 of 3: As we walked to our room, the smell of marijuana was heavy and came from more than one room (all non-smoking) in both corridors. They provide a laminated (so it must be important) notice that smoking of any kind will not be tolerated and those found violating this rule will be charged $250 and asked to leave. Fast forward to the next day. After a terrible night sleep on a bed that felt like a crate and a bedspread that weighed less than a thin bathrobe, we returned to the hotel, the corridors wreaked of cigarette smoke (in our non-smoking corridor) and when we opened our door, the stench of smoke was abundant. We went to the front desk where the "attendant" stated that he had an earlier complaint about that but that there was nothing he could do about it. We persevered and finally had him call his manager who directed him to knock on each door to find out who was violating the rules and deal with it. This "attendant's" attitude was disinterested ("I can't make them leave." disrespectful "Even though others complained, you're the only ones making a big deal out of it." and non-compliant. He didn't knock on any door. He simply sprayed Febreeze in the hallway. There's a lot more but I'm out of characters.

Quiet relaxing stay. I didn't run into any trouble. Only when I first checked in the room they gave me hadn't been cleaned but they immediately moved me to a clean room with a view.

Beware the budget rate

Pros: The view of the harbor.
Staff was nice enough but the room smelled like cat urine, the ventilation smelled musty, the beds evidently hadn't been vacuumed under in ages (don't want to guess at what was under the dust bunnies), the furniture was raggedy and chipped, and we had all of two towels for a double queen room. The shower made a god-awful screeching noise if you turned it from the trickle setting and the ground-floor room looked out onto a dog-walking thoroughfare with people at bed level right outside the window. Booked two nights and didn't return for the second!

Your review recently caught our attention. I am sorry to hear that the room you were checked into had an odor. I will definitely speak with our housekeeping staff about cleanliness of the rooms. Also I do apologize about the shower making an awful screeching noise, which our maintenance engineer will address. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Cons: The smell in the rooms and the stained towels didn't make me feel comfortable about using them.
My room had a foul musk odor and the hotel employee was kind to give me another room. That room was much better as far as smell is concerned. The towels were stained and I was very uneasy about using them. I did not stay the night. I was torn if I would stay when checking in. But after hearing constant running coming from upstairs. I definitely wasn't going to stay.

Good location

I liked being by the boat docks. The rooms were just fine. Parking was free and there was alot of it. I really only have two glaring complaints and both should be noted by the management as these small improvements would add hugely to the overall improvement of a guest's experience. First: the bed was pretty comfortable but the bedding i.e. Sheets and blankets were awful. Yuk. Not dirty or stinky but super low quality and they felt terrible. Second: the parking lot and grounds were pretty trashy as in trash on the ground all over. There were no poop bags in the dispenser and the garbage cans outside were overflowing. It's a real shame because the place could be really nice. The price was good. The breakfast they offer was a granola bar and coffee and they take them away on the dot.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean. We will stay here again.

Very basic accommodation, that should definitely be improved... Great location with proximity to Marina. Breakfast is a coffee and individually wrapped muffin :(

Uuuugh...

Fire alarm went off at 8 in the morning. It stopped just as I got my clothes on. You can hear the people in rooms adjacent. The continental breakfast was just per packaged muffins and coffee was all gone by 9:30. The stuff did care about anything. But I wouldn't either if I worked there too.
