"All staff we met were friendly and helpful, including spa staff. Room clean and spacious, not modern but traditional as would expect in older part of building. Shower hot, bathroom huge! Mattress not the best though. Think room would be cold in Winter due to period windows, single glazed and not air tight. Breakfast also traditional, nice to have tea and coffee served at table, fresh bread , hot food good, cereals limited and basic."

"The hotel is set in a beautiful quiet village and the staff and food were amazing. The only two downsides were that the bed was extremely hard, as someone who prefers a firm mattress even I struggled with it and the first night we were staying there was a very noisy gathering in the garden until 1.30 am. However I can’t stress enough how lovely the place is and how amazing the food was."
