Housekeeping was not consistent with the amenities they replaced or towels and toilet paper they replaced. The dining room had few choices and was expensive compared to nearby properties.

The staff was great including our housekeeper Jackie. I felt everything had a pricetag to it. The pool was the size of an acorn and a lounge chair was $250 per day. Umbrella chairs, $100/ day. We were told to go next door to the Sheraton for their pool, but were thrown out like dirty laundry since I had the Royal Hawaiian bracelet on! Or room was clean for old carpet, small bathroom and no view and no outdoor balcony. Our housecleaner was a bright star, making us feel welcome and keeping our room clean. RH at one time was the flagship of Waikiki. Now it's very average with outstanding staff

Wonderful property for the entire family. Shared pool and beach frontage, food options on-site and next door were perfect for children and adults. Front desk and cleaning staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Concierge could have been a bit more helpful.

Very special hotel on a Waikiki beach. The vibe is unbeatable. They treat you as a family member. Beautiful backyard and the best coffee in a Royal Hawaiian bakery. Great place to escape for a Hawaiian sunsets . Thankful for time we spent there.

Beautiful landscape and walk ways, Great staff.Love the Historic architecture. Nice big rooms. The Bakery has delicious baked goods. They were able to set up excursions and made Great suggestions. We loved the open air design.

This is a wonderful historic hotel in the heart of Waikiki. Hotel is elegant, welcoming, and expertly run. Staff is friendly and helpful. Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Beach access is super easy and close. Shopping and dining are a short walk away. The rooms are comfortable with high ceilings and luxurious beds. The only flaw is the shower, water temperature oscillates from almost too cold to almost too hot and back again. Still, a wonderful experience not to be missed.

Lovely historic hotel. Staff are really great. Beautiful surroundings. Perfect location. The historic building does not have balconies and many rooms face the courtyard/ entrance and does not feel that special. Could be any hotel. We asked for an upgrade ($707, incl fees and taxes for 4 nights, added to the original price) and was moved to the Mailani tower, which was incredible. Perfect and spacious balcony with table, chairs and a couch. And incredible views. Daily yoga class was really good and aqua Zumba a new and really fun experience. Breakfast was pretty basic, but finez It was busy, so we had to wait 15-20 min every day to be seated. We had a nice and enjoyable vacation but I do think I’d pick a cheaper hotel next time.

There is nothing luxury about this property. They only see you as a $ and that's about it. You would think that the $42 daily resort fee will at least include rental of beach chairs, but no that's an additional $75-100 per day if you're lucky enough to find availability. Much better hotels with great dining options nearby.
