Central location in the heart of the city
As a former residents of Oahu, my wife and I have made numerous trips since we relocated to the mainland. We are saddened, on each trip, that the city has made zero improvements in its infrastructure and in its ever worsening traffic conditions. Okay, so that's the government. However, the same malaise seems to affect the rest of the city. Buildings need a new coat of paint everywhere. Well, everywhere but the swanky resort areas (with security looking at all entrants) which, it seems, get all the improvement dollars. So, what about the Pagoda Hotel? It's stuck in the same malaise. Ownership and management don't seem to care all that much. Th parking is in a building opposite the hotel ($10 nightly charge). The needs a major facelift, and room improvements (sound proofing, cooling, bed comfort, etc,.) The rooms have window air-conditioning located a foot above the bed. And they're noisy. So, with its intermittent loud starting and stopping, you get intermittent blasts of cold air throughout the night. Save your money and pay more for basic comfort.
