Great Hotel and beautiful location

Posted 16-Nov-2017
Loved this hotel and had a wonderful stay! Would recommend and would stay again! Only complaint is that it took a long time to check in at the main entrance. Wish we would have known we could have checked in at our tower.

Huge resort. You can't attend any restaurant without a shirt to keep that in mind when going to eat after a pool/beach day.

Deceptive small beds

Posted 14-Nov-2017
Pros: location
Cons: the beds, the coffee maker, may be a couple bottles of water in the room
Location: good location, many businesses around it
I stayed in the hotel from Nov 7-9, 2017. Paid in full through Expedia but was offered a different room when I checked in. Later on I received a bill of $320 for the room upgrade which was never explained to me. The staff was very deceptive in selling the expensive rooms. I would have never paid $160/night for the view only. The beds are very small and not good enough for two people to sleep in the same bed. Coffee maker is terrible and they don't even provide you a bottle of water in the room. The resort fee is only for getting beach towels. Rentals at the beach or their lagoon are too expensive. Location of the hotel is very good. hotel has many shops and restaurants. Not a good deal for your money. There are several other hotels around which may offer a better value for your money.

Did not get what we reserved.

Posted 13-Nov-2017
We booked a king size bed for my baby and I and instead we got t2 separate beds. It was difficult to get a hold of a desk to make changes and the line was too long. They also charge additional fees when the reservations desk confirmed that no additional fees were going to be charged. It was a nice and huge hotel but due to their size they lack customer service.

Nice hotel

Posted 13-Nov-2017
Awesome hotel with great towers. I stood at the rainbow hotel and loved it. Loved that the hotel had different towers and mini shopping mall. Loved that it was close to the beach. There were many different options for intertainment. My concierge was amazing. Most staff was rude but the hotel was so awesome I can deal with the rude staff. I will stay there again. The rainbow hotel didn't have microwave. That's a minor issue that again I can easily overlook. I will stay there next time I go to Hawaii.

Amazing resort

Posted 12-Nov-2017
This resort was amazing! From check in to check out all the staff were lovely- especially Emily from housekeeping. We stayed in the Rainbow tower in room 2603 which had the most amazing view down to diamond head. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The resort grounds were gorgeous- nothing like having a stroll through tropical gardens to pick up a coffee at Starbucks. The Friday night show and fireworks were also very good. Can’t wait to come back again!

Depends on the tower

Posted 11-Nov-2017
Cons: Upgrade Diamond Head tower
Overall the resort was beautiful. We stayed in the Diamond Head tower which was the oldest tower and I think it is due for some upgrades. The resort itself was great and the landscaping was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this resort.

Roomy rooms, clean, good location, close to beach

Posted 10-Nov-2017
Pros: Everything in one location.
Cons: We had a phone message we didn't get until checking out at 053am which meant we couldn't retrieve the package waiting for us at the mail centre.
Location: Close to beach, restaurants, shopping, tour pick ups.
Everything we expected. Great for family's or couples.

Great resort with everything you need

Posted 10-Nov-2017
We had an ocean view room in the Kalia tower. The views were very nice! We liked the fact there were many pools so you could mix it up a little. The beach was close to the super pool (1-2 minute walk). There were fireworks on Friday night. Many restaurants and shops about it the resort. Lunch options were limited though the ABC store in the resort had nice salad options for a reasonable price. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The TV included Foxtel with some channels. The toiletries were nice too - they even sold the large versions at the boutique store. The gardens were beautifully landscaped with rocks, waterfalls and live animals (ducks, mccaws, turtles, fish). We paid a US$35 daily resort fee which covered the use of the gym, renting DVDs with the latest releases and other activities like yoga, lei making and hula lessons. Location was good but a 15 min walk to the main shopping strip or a 10-15min walk to Ala Moana shopping centre (one of the largest). TheBus was the transport option we used to get around when we didn't feel like walking (cost US$5 adult day pass). Overall I would highly recommend this resort to families.
