The Rainbow Tower was a wonderful location.

Posted 30-Aug-2015
Pros: The location was surrounded by the best restaurants. Favorite Italian food was Fresco. Everything we tired was delicious.
Cons: The maid service needs improvement. The would just rinse out coffee cups instead of giving a dishwasher clean cup everyday. Pretty gross.
Location: Lots of shopping and restaurants. We rented a car and it was a waste. Taxis and trolley are the way to go. Surfrider Hotel has a lovely afternoon tea.
The vacation was great. Right on the beach. Beautiful sunsets.

Nice resort close to beach

I liked this hotel a lot, though it is definitely not quiet and the pools were always busy. Other than that it offers great entertainment options and the beach nearby is killer.

ヒルトンという名前だけのホテル

Posted 28-Aug-2015
Cons:

Cost more money than expected. Beach okay.

There are 4 towers in the village and upon arrival, it was had to find ours. We we reserved a king bed with resort views and we got 2 queen beds facing the parking lot. It was so hard to find, we didn't bother changing. Everything is expensive. The cheapest meal we had, 2 drinks and a shrimp appetizer (4 shrimp in total) was over 50 after tip. Cost $30 a day to park a car. The beach had good sand but was really rocky. I cut my toe and never made it out far enough to find out where the rocks ended (hurt too much). The lagoon is nice, but cold compared to the ocean. Staff was okay. Good okay. Not exactly the resort I wanted especially considering I paid a $30 per day resort fee.

Nice resort in great location.

HHV was in a great spot, down one end of Waikiki beach so there were fewer people but it was still really central.

Nice hotel close to the beach.

Posted 26-Aug-2015
Pros: Almost everything you need is within this hotel village. The beach front is large and within the facility. So there is no need to cross a road
Cons: WIFI cuts out every time we use it.
We stayed in this hotel from Aug 24 to Aug 31, 2015. We were at Tapa tower and have nice view of the lagoon. There are lots of tourist but overall is not too crowded. Within the facility is a small mall that have restaurants, stores, and general store (ABC store). The staff is very helpful and friendly. We had a problem in our room where the ceiling was leaking water due to the air conditioner, and the staff promptly dealt with the problem by moving us to a new room.

Nice hotel very close to the beach

Posted 26-Aug-2015
We stayed at the rainbow tower and the oceanfront view was amazing. Beds were comfortable. The negative to this was that when we checked in at 3pm, they said the bed was not ready, so maybe we waited for another hour and then when i followed up, it was still not ready! After 2 hrs, followed up again and the lady at the desk said it was still not ready. she gave me $100 credit tho that i can use towards anything in the resort, that was nice, but 3 hrs to wait for the room is just bad! I guess they were short on housekeeping staff that day. Overall tho, our experience there is still nice. Do not eat the breakfast there. Too expensive $30 per person and its not even special..

Comfortable hotel with lots of access to the beach

Posted 26-Aug-2015
Pros: The variety of pools and water activities
Cons: Provide more resort activities that are not water related (eg - game room with ping pong, etc)
Location: The hotel is at the beginning of Waikiki which is less crowded but is close enough to shopping malls and restaurants.
The Hilton Hawaiian Village is a large hotel offering a variety of room choices, restaurants and shopping. Overall I think the hotel has a lot to offer especially if traveling with kids
