The view of Diamond Head was great!
Even though the view from our 32nd floor room was great, we felt anonymous in the hotel. I don't think a staff member ever talked to us, except for when we checked in. The check in person was extremely slow and hardly looked at us. She implied that the "standard" room we had paid for through Expedia was really a crummy room and urged us to "upgrade." One upgrade would be $85 a night more and the other something like $135 a night more. Rather than take a chance on a sub-standard room, we "upgraded" and took the $85 choice. Counting taxes, resort fees of $35 a night, and the upgrade charge, the bill for our four night stay was over $500 more than we paid through Expedia.
