Oldie!

Room is very old, bathroom is dirty and noise can be heard from the room. Breakfast too is terrible! Not worth the money.

Aloha! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us some feedback. We're glad you gave us high marks on our staffing scores but we're regretful the other aspects of the Coconut didn't quite meet your expectations. We hope you'll choose to stay here again and give us another shot. Mahalo

The bed sheet wasn't changed.

Posted 20-Mar-2017
Pros: Location was good, front desk staffs were nice.
Cons: Cleaniness!!! Breakfast fetures could be improved.
Location: Location is right beside the Ala Canal, very easy to get to the city, everything in walking distance.
The location was nice, right beside the Ala Canel, front desk staff was welcoming and very approachable. However, room cleanliness was a shock. The bed sheet wasn't changed, and there were juice and blood stains on both beds. IT WAS DISGUSTING. I had to call them to clean it, room amenity was not replaced, but they charge $ 20 a day for that. The breakfast was included, but if you stay there for a week, you wouldn't want to eat it all the time. Everyday waffle bar, some fresh fruit, and some frozen, canned food. The cost to stay at this hotel wasn't too cheap nor expensive, but if I had to pay the similar amount, I would choose another hotel for the next time. The air conditioner in the room was the old type where they dig a big hole on the wall and it was very very loud. Disappointing experience.

Small, loud and dirty hotel room.

Posted 27-Feb-2017
Pros: The name.
Cons: Clean the carpets, provide earplugs on check-in.
Location: It was close to the cruise port.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights prior to catching a cruise ship. Checking into the hotel was quick and easy and the desk clerk was courteous and friendly. The room was extremely small, ~200 sq. ft. and the carpet was dirty. I walked around the room in bare feet and when I took a shower, the water rinsing off my feet was filthy so no more barefooting in the room. The Coconut was advertised as breakfast included. Meager continental breakfast would be more like it. The windows were slats that were closed but still conducted sound clearly through them. This is unfortunate because the street at the front of the hotel was busy and a good percentage of the drivers had apparently installed aftermarket exhaust that were really loud. It must be some kind of pastime for the locals to run their cars and bikes at high revs all night making earplugs an absolute necessity. The pool is not really a pool so much as a small, water-filled hole with a device that could be used to lower disabled guests into the water. There is maybe room for two people in the pool at the same time. We didn't see anyone in the pool while we were there.

DONT EVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL!

Posted 26-Feb-2017
Pros: NOTHING.
Cons: EVERYTHING needs to be IMPROVED. including staff. they need better staff who actually knows what they are doing and can answer guest's questions.
Besides the hotel price, you have to pay an additional fee for their parking, staff were NOT helpful. I don't understand why they would have someone working front desk when they cannot answer any question that I ask, which caused our car to get tow away because the front desk person did not have any knowledge of their hotel. Asked to speak with the hotel manager and never got the chance to speak to her. Rooms were super hot and stuffy, the AC always died on us. Room was super noisy and bed were not comfortable at all. Seems like they didn't clean the bed sheets from whoever was there previously. The rooms also smelled nasty like you can smell bleach. bathroom was small and not clean. I would never go there again nor recommend anyone to stay there.

Aloha! Thank you so much for the feedback. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay with us. Parking in Waikiki can be a bit tricky. Space is very limited and therefore parking is strictly enforced. That's why we always recommend to go with the convenience of valet parking; every hotel will offer valet parking at $30-40/night. I'll share your other thoughts with the rest of the management team. We hope you'll choose to give us another chance in the future! Mahalo

An Affordable Place in Waikiki

Posted 20-Feb-2017
Pros: We like the price/comfort ratio and the good location.
Cons: The buffet breakfast need major improvements. There was basically only toasts, jam and a few basic pastries. There should be no resort fees.
Location: The hotel does not have a view on the ocean or on Waikiki beach but is conveniently located near the main shopping streets. Room had view on the canal
The price for this hotel has gone up but the building has been nicely refurbished. This was my second stay and I would return.
