Good hotel, great location.

Stayed here for a concert at the Concert Hall, less than five minutes walk away. We pre-booked parking, not cheap, but convenient. Staff friendly, check-in was swift. Room on fifth floor was obviously recently refurbished. It was clean and spacious. Hot chocolate and biscuits were a most welcome addition to the usual tea and coffee. Air conditioning worked well. Bar and restaurant were clean and what you might expect from a city centre hotel. Food offered was typical "pub grub," but it was hot, well presented and tasty. The city centre and trams were right on your door-step, but hotel was quiet at night. Overall, a good hotel; we would stay here again.

Was visiting to see Birmingham Royal Ballet. With hotel on one side of tram stop and theatre on other side, this was a very pleasurable experience.

My room was very noisey and it stunk. Stunk of cooked/cooking food.

Nice break

Posted 10-Mar-2016 on Hotels
Bit disappointed about the parking. It's £10 for 24hrs in a multistorey. Trying to find the hotel with a sat nav taking me all over the place was a mission. Ended up accidently parking in the ramada car park, cost a little more (£15) but it would have cost that by the time I had taken the car out and moved it literally around the corner. Only chose the hotel as it was round the corner from a music venue I was going to visit and it was cheap. Room was clean. Shower was nice and warm. Facilities were adequate. Didn't have breakfast or eat there. Hotel was easy to miss though. Lots of building work going on outside the front but the room was quiet with a nice view of the city. Location was good for the music venue, shops are right outside and the castle is a very short walk. Can't really fault it.

Limited car parking on site, but a discounted price large car park is a short walk away. Ideal place to visit the university.

Perfect Locatin

Location was perfect in a relatively quiet street with hotel parking available right in the city centre. We were there to see a show at the Concert Hall which was no more than 2 minutes walk away.
