I really good hotel, modern but with loads of character in a great location. Fabulous friendly and helpful staff. I ate in the pub next door which is part of the hotel, the Cock and Hoop, and had a really nice meal. The bedroom was modern with a large bathroom and really comfy bed. Only criticism ...
it is the best, it has large room. it is good for family as well .
Okay, so less than £50 a night, clean, and well located - all good. But, this hotel is very dowdy and worn-out; if this matters to you, look elsewhere.
Stayed in a family room which was spacious, very comfortable beds, room immaculate & a lovely bathroom with large shower. A couple of very slight negatives on the room - bathroom floor was freezing and only PG tips t/bags on offer - if you like herbal, take your own.
My daughter and I where visiting Nottingham University for her Applicant Day. We had a very pleasant stay. The staff where very attentive and helpful. We had booked a double room and it was no trouble to separate the beds to singles. We ate in the Brasserie which was average food at a reasonable ...
Lovely setting and peaceful surroundings. Made very welcome by the hosts- nothing was too much trouble for them, Had everything we needed including toiletries and hairdryer in room
Very comfortable hotel central to the city, within walking distance of the old Law courts which are a must to visit, also went to Wakefield coal mine which is a 2 hour run in the car but worth the visit. Parking is £15 a day which I consider expensive, and note the parking bays are really small.
Lovely old pub with quaint rooms, which was what we were expecting from the reviews and the price. Breakfast was local fare, and good value. However all this was slightly spoiled by loud pub customers outside our windows at midnight when pub turned out. Bar did seem a bit dominated by regulars!
