Parked in the multi storey across the road bearing in mind another reviewer's advice to have the ticket validated by the hotel on departure to get a £10 overnight rate - the hotel did not mention it to me otherwise! Check in was slow - young girl who did not know how to work the Ron key machine. First room was a special room for disabled guests so had a wet room, but also had a TV that didn't work and a filthy carpet. Was surprised as ibis are usually reliably good. Back down to reception to ask for another room and was put in another 'disabled' room as that was all they had left. Big room with panoramic view from a wall of window, however it was really cold - luckily it had twin beds so I could have two duvets on me. Bathroom/wet room smelt like a hospital bathroom - jeyes fluid sort of smell, which was not pleasant. Despite air con on top temperature all night, remained cool. No teaspoons so had to make tea without, and no mirror in bedroom - marks on wall where I guess it had been so drying hair was more difficult than it need be. The tea I made tasted revolting - think it must be the milk. Al in all, an unpleasant uncomfortable stay which was a surprise for an Ibis.
