"Pleasant overnight stay after a party"
Overall a very pleasant little BnB. The rooms are a little basic and not massive (even taking into account our needing to use the sofa bed). Very nice breakfast in the morning, with friendly and helpful staff and a generally good atmosphere. Very useful as a stop over when visiting friends or family.

"Nice Rooms"
Newly decorated rooms are clean and well furnished and off a good size. Aircon was ineffective in room. Mini bar contains 2 bottles of water only and isnt chilled. Breakfast selection ok -though dont believe meny when it says cumberland sausages. Awful weak coffee in pots - but they were happy to privide string filter coffee/Americano. Room numbers sre printed on paper snd sellotaped to wall -guess this is due to in progress refurbishment.

"Convenient choice for travellers using the M1"
Whilst the room was a little smaller than some competitors of similar price range it was perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. Cleanliness was excellent and the staff very helpful. We had a torrid journey in awful traffic most of the way from the south coast so decided to eat in the hotel rather than go searching for restaurants. We both found the meal a pleasant surprise.

Took my wife on a long weekend for our anniversary. We chose this area only because of my wifes maiden name is Newstead and we were visiting the Abbey and other attractions in the area. This Hotel fit all we needed which was basically Bed and Breakfast. Very nice staff and polite and a lovely breakfast.

    Nottingham Yesterday

Nottingham is steeped in history. Nottingham Castle was the first Norman Castle to be built in 1067 by William the Conqueror. In 1194, the castle was sieged by Richard the Lionheart and in 1485, Richard III left the castle to ride to Bosworth where he became the last English King to die in battle. In 1878, after being derelict for 40 years, the castle was reopened as a museum and art gallery. If you can manage to take time out from your busy schedule, this magnificent castle and artefacts within is well worth a visit. Feel like a king in a conference centre hotel, see how they once lived by visiting the castle.
