"A lovely surprise deep in Nottinghamshire"
Lovely welcoming warm stay. We were a gay couple who were made to feel relaxed with no attitude or snide asides or faux manner. The evening meal was truly excellent in both quality and presentation.

In the heart of Nottingham's Lace Market area and within easy walking distance of all the sights we were interested in, this hotel fitted the bill perfectly. We would certainly stay here again if we were to return to Nottingham.

"Old World Charm in the Centre of Nottingham"
My wife booked a room for me for an overnight stay. I had no idea what to expect. To say I was pleasantly surprised would be an under statement. The Walton has an old fashioned feel; an elegance from a time gone by which I found captivating. Wood panelling and open fires all added to the charm of the place. A well appointed room with not a hint of traffic noise - how does that work in the middle of a city? - plus a super comfortable mattress ensured a relaxing nights sleep followed by a really top notch breakfast; as good as I have eaten, anywhere. All of the above means nothing if the staff, as in everyone, is not on top of their game. How refreshing then to find such a warm and hospitable team of people. They manage that very difficult trick of delivering a highly professional service but in a way that feels as if you are staying in someone's home. Thank you.
