The hotel is in a great location, you're right there in the city centre, and it has the necessities that you'd look for for any type of stay.
Rooms are standard, nice, clean, and comfortable.
The only thing that let the stay down for us was the attitude of the reception staff who don't seem bothered.
During the one night stay there was a fire alarm at 3.30 am which was annoying but not at all the hotel's fault (a drunk guest thought it would be funny to set it off). The night porter who had to deal with all of the guests coming down was great, he was apologetic and it felt like he meant it which was impressive for the number of times he must have had to explain what had happened and say sorry for drunk guests.
The problem was at checkout when the three girls on reception finally stopped talking to ask us the most basic of questions, it felt like they were forced to ask everyone. There was no apology for the fire alarm or even mention of it, and not so much as a smile. When we picked up luggage we had stored behind reception about an hour later, the same three didn't say a word as we handed in the tags, collected the luggage and left.
Overall a solid hotel for any stay, but maybe don't expect a friendly reception or departure.
Lovely hotel with wonderful, helpful owners. Room was very clean and comfortable. The pillows in particular were very soft and fluffy! breakfast was scrummy (with a good range of choice). Everything you could possibly need in a B&B.
I went with my two sisters and the deluxe family room which was very nice and clean. The staff where pleasant and very helpful. We didn't have any breakfast at the hotel but if you walk for approximately 3minutes you will come to a variety of pubs and places to eat best hotel I've stayed in Nottingham.
Such a nice hotel. Everything was lush and beautiful. Food in the restaurant was delicious. Very comfortable indeed. Bathroom - shower would have been amazing but the pole was broken so it was at an angle. Bit of a shame but it was very spacious and actually a very nice shower! I wasn't that bothered as only stayed for one night. Let them know on my way out. Very polite staff. Would recommend.
