Old facility, seems to need updates. Hallways smell of cigarettes and weed. Food was mediocre. Otherwise it was decent.

A little out of the way for downtown Denver

Posted 23-Sep-2016
Pros: Reasonably priced for what it has to offer. Excellent complimentary breakfast.
Cons: Outdated or faulty wiring/electrical systems, better entrance/exit routes to the hotel
Location: Plenty of restaurants around the area, but a good 20-30 minute drive to downtown Denver, especially with traffic.
The room was nice enough, bed was pretty comfy and clean. However, it was easy to tell that the rooms were a little outdated. It was difficult to find an electrical outlet since they were behind the bed, and there was only one extension cord on one side of the bed with maybe 2 plugs to work with. Additionally, the light bulbs in the room were either going out or had some faulty wiring... The light in the entrance of the room took forever to turn on, and while taking a shower, the only light in the bathroom went completely out, and wouldn't come back on so it was a shower in the dark for me. Tried resetting the reset switch and looking at the bulb to no avail - it finally came back on its own after 10-15 minutes (after I was done with the bathroom.) Also be warned that it was a nightmare navigating to the hotel from the main street, since it's tucked behind a number of businesses with terribly engineered routes (make sure you drive in front of the ilovekickboxing.com building or you'll get trapped in a dead end somewhere, and make sure to leave the same way you came.) Not necessarily the hotel's fault. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. Buffet style with good selections along with a made to order omelet if you choose. All in all the hotel was ok, but could use some improvement in some areas, considering it was about 30 minutes from downtown Denver.

Blood on my towels!

Posted 23-Sep-2016
Pros: The staff
Cons: Everything
Location: Good location as far as stores restaurants
The first night I noticed there was a spot of blood on one of the supposedly clean towels. The next day after housekeeping came by and gave us new towels, there was yet another towel with blood! Then when I got on the floor to play with my infant, I noticed old dried rice pieces. They were not stuck to the carpet, so did they even vacuum. The base of the toilet had urine. The whole place, despite the pictures, is very dated in appearance. The general conference area clearly had not been vacuumed. This was another spot I allowed my infant to crawl around (only with socks on his hands). The pool was quite cold. The front desk staff was very pleasant and the breakfast bar was overall okay. The omelet station was awesome. Everything else was just eh. There was only a sheet and the blanket on the bed. I'm a freeze baby so I was quite cold. I would not return to this hotel

I have stayed at the Ramad Plaza several times and it is one of the best values on the north end of Denver

Don't expect much

Posted 20-Sep-2016
Friendly staff but the hotel needs some serious upgrades and repairs; worth noting is the cord of the coffee machine is so short that it needs to be put on the floor by the power socket to make a cup of "gourmet coffee"

It was a good hotel, but would not pick it as a first choice.

Barely value for the money, discount and all.

Posted 19-Sep-2016
Pros: Price. This is not a bargain, hopefully convenient but it's just a fairly cheap in an overheated are.
Cons: Bathrooms, they need to be updated to this century. Provide a lobby bar meny. Keep some frozen items for purchase to be heated in microwave (in room)
This is the type of room that is ok when all you need is a nights of sleep on the road to somewhere else. It's very old and shows it. Arriving to this hotel tired and hungry after a long trip we where informed that restaurant was closed Sundays and Mondays. Bad timing on our part! They did have a market with water, sodas, lots of chips and sugar loaded snacks. Disappointing to say the least. Our room was ok, as was the bed as long as we don't count the bathroom. The tile was dirty and floor uneven which collected water leaking from the toilet. The handicap rail was loose and ready to give out. There where two holes in the wall, looked like old plumbing, that where stuffed with toilet paper!! The tub was in poor state, looked unclean and uninviting. Yuk! However there was a decent breakfast buffet. Great variety, liked the omelet station a lot, waffles where great. With that in mind, this is still a good overnighter, especially for families with kids.

Location is the best feature of this hotel.

Posted 18-Sep-2016
Pro - location on the corner of I-25 and 120th, A/C works, hot water, coffee maker in the room, breakfast serviceable, and very close to real restaurants. Cons - not very clean, small rooms, bad smells in the hotel, bed frame sticks out - dangerous, restaurant in hotel not worth going to ever for lunch or dinner, doors slam shut all night, no fan in bathroom, and more. Overall, good location but use only if on a budget AND you get a deal in the room.
