Everything worked. The room was correctly stocked. The staff was wonderful and creatively handled my special request.

Not sure how guests rated this 4.1

Posted 10-Aug-2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: A comfortable bed.
Location: There was major construction going on in front on the main road. I missed the place 4 times, turning around, looking. Very frustrating.
I book my hotels based on guest ratings. Nothing less than a 4.0 I find is usually fantastic. This one was 4.1 at the time I booked it. It wasn't nice at all. The bed was slanted downward...head towards floor. The bed itself wasn't very comfortable. Felt worn out. Room was old looking, tattered. Shower compartment was not flush to floor. Very odd. I didn't sleep well. It wasn't filthy or smelly but it just lacked any comfort.

Only complaint was the breakfast. Hot water not hot enough and no hot eggs only hard boiled

Close to Quantico

It was a decent stay for the price. However the beds and pillows are not very comfortable. And even in a non smoking room you can smell some cigerette smoke. The outside has not been landscaped or weeded in probably five or more years. There are weeds that go up to your knees or higher. the breakfast is from 6-10 but if you don't go by 8:30 there will be no food left, unfortunately they don't replinish the food after they put it out at 6.

Good hotel for a short stay

Posted 02-Jul-2015
Pros: The price was great and the value for the price. It was clean and the furnishings were nice for a small room.
We were traveling late in the day and picked this hotel to stay in Fredricksburg. It was close to the interstate. The room was small but tastefully decorated. It was fine for two people.

Great Value

Extremely good value for someone on a tight vacation budget. The rooms are on the back side of the hotel not up against the busy road near by so it was very quiet and relaxing. The hotel has been recently updated which is also a plus.

Directionally challenging.

The facility was able to accommodate my request for an early check in. The room was very hot upon arrival. It took more than 3 hours to cool down. This was an older building. Was difficult to access due to road construction. Staff was friendly. I reserved a first floor room but was given a second floor room. There was no elevator and since I have arthritis it was a long walk to the room.

Not as impressed as I was during my last visit...

I had requested a room by the back door to make it easy to get item from the car to the room. Unfortunately, I was given room # 134, which is literally next to the back door, like a foot away, and all we heard all night AND MORNING was the back door slamming closed. This caused us to have a TERRIBLE nights sleep. The door was extremely loud! The bathroom was small but usable and the shower pressure was good but with the glass door, water kept going to the floor and onto the toilet. The sink area is outside of the bathroom. The room was partly renovated, as it had a flat screen, green paint above the bed, and nice linens. Everything else was old, furniture, the tv stand/dresser was broken, and the computer chair was dirty. The AC also was loud and did not always stay on and had a weird smell. The phones, BOTH of them, did not work in the room! My previous room was actually fully renovated and was very nice but this room was not fully renovated and needs to be updated and ASAP. Room #134 was certainly a makeshift "renovation". The front desk staff was nice but the housekeepers were iffy. I was also greeted by two housekeepers who were smoking cigarettes, and smoking up a storm, outside the rear entrance when I was bringing items to the car. The breakfast was not stocked well, many items ran out, and were not replenished. Also ran out of Coffee. Another negative was the wifi. While free it was incredibly slow!
