Calling the Banken a hotel is a bit of a stretch, at least if you're accustomed to the kinds of services hotels typically offer--like a check-in desk, or someone actually on-site who can help with things that come up. I'm happy to say that the room was great and the location was too, but our experience was very difficult. They didn't have our reservation, it took three phone calls to get someone on the line, and an hour to finally get into our room. To be fair, I don't know if the lost reservation was Banken's fault or hotels.com's fault, but when it takes an hour to resolve, something's wrong on both sides.
By the way, we got the suite, which was great on paper, and we did like the room, but the bed is in a second-floor loft, and the bathroom was on the main floor, which made for treacherous middle-of-the night travel on a somewhat slippery winding staircase in the dark. Cool room, though, if you don't mind that.
