Staff was ok, but I was offered food, then told I needed to pay for it with an outdated payment method (cash) which I didn't have and couldn't get. I explained my issue with ATMs on the island and reception did not show any compassion and didn't care.

Given the ratings/reviews & my experience with similar caliber properties around the world, I was disappointed in certain things. The security guard at the front gate of the property was extremely rude. Didn't welcome us but asked what we were doing there. Our driver was very taken back by his behavior & said he's never seen anyone so rude at this establishment. Two days prior to arrival, I was sent an email form w/ one of the questions asking when we'd be arriving. I selected the noon-2pm option & we arrived at 12:30pm. We were told that we were going to have to wait until 3pm to be taken to our villa. Check in had been advertised as 3pm, so I'm not exactly sure why they even provided a noon-2pm option on the form - it was misleading & set wrong expectations. They took our luggage to the villa & told us we could utilize the pool or beach while we waited. Well, our bathing suits were in our luggage so they had to fetch our luggage so we could change into our bathing suits. 3pm rolls around and no word. We ask at the pool bar & someone comes to us at 3:15pm to let us know we would be picked up in about 15min. Having to wait until AFTER the advertised check in time when we had been waiting 3hrs was extremely irritating. Another disappointment was the lack of bathroom toiletries that would be default at other places of this cost. Blackout blinds on 3 walls of windows but not the 4th in the bedroom. The view, privacy, activities, & hostess were great.

The leadership here is exceptional. Special thanks to Ramy, whose energy, vision, and constant presence throughout the property are clearly driving this resort to a world-class level. He is always visible, engaged with staff and guests, improving processes and ensuring best guest experiences — a true example of Jim Collins’ philosophy of putting the right person in the right role. His emotional intelligence, sharp intellect, and tireless commitment set the tone for a culture of genuine care and excellence. What was meant to be a two-week stay quickly turned into a full month. That alone says everything. The culinary experience is exceptional. Chef Hussein creates miracle dishes infused with creativity, precision, and so much heart — every meal feels personal and prepared with care and love. The five course Valentine’s Day dinner was an extraordinary masterpiece. A true fine dining experience in both taste and presentation, one would find in the finest restaurants. Chef Banda is equally remarkable — consistently excellent and always eager to make guests happy, no matter the request. Their care and dedication transformed dining into one of the highlights of our stay. They also went far above and beyond to accommodate my special dietary restrictions. I would suggest that they upgrade to elevators. Walkin up those small steps /stairs with your luggage was inconvenient. The locks on the door were outdated and hard to open. But it seems safe. Clean room, comfy bed and fresh towels was available. The hotel room was just like in the picture .
