could have done without the bother

total shambles... booked a family room through hotels.com but when we arrived after 7 pm the room they gave us had no bed for the 2 children..we had been out all day and were exhausted, this is the last thing we needed. The receptionist said that she'd sort it,but after an hour nothing had been resolved so our patience was wearing a tad thin. My partner decided to ring hotels.com to ask for help and I rang the holiday inn..who were useless to be frank..we were all getting very stressed as we didn't know what was happening and the staff were not really bothered.
Eventually, after about 1 1/2 hours we were given a room..the reason being that there were no pillow cases on the beds !!
we settled in but after about an hour.. was disturbed by a housekeeper bringing us pillowcases..would have been a lovely stay but was spoiled by bad management
