Comfortable and accomodating place. Well located for walking, and eating options available. Room was clean and only comment is that I think that Queen beds would be a popular option. Good mattress and bedding and a well equipped room.
A very nice up market hotel. We had a small suite and the only gripe was that the windows were too small and high so the sea view was not as spectacular as it could have been. Restaurant was nice but the food lacked finesse.

The Grand is well placed to explore the city of York. The only drawback is that the hotel does not have a car park of their own and instead they will park your car in the nearby NCP car park at an appropriate charge.
