Great location with easy access from station.
Easy access to centre of town.
Swimming pool fabulous.
Room good size and well laid out.
Cons (minor), but, in my opinion, relative to my overall rating.
Specifically requested a quiet room when booking, and although on the 4th floor, it was at the front of the hotel, which was still noisy. Sirens, revellers and the turnout of a club nearby disturbed sleep.
Tried to arrange some spa treatments, but staff unable to accomodate because 'full'. Advice was I should have booked beforehand.
Didn't bother with breakfast as better places to eat outside.
Pillows hard and lumpy.
UHT milk cartons in fridge.
Stayed two nights and don't believe bedding was changed on the second.
As said, minor quibbles in the scheme of things, as the hotel is in a superb location and is beautiful.
But! it is not cheap, and If, it is going to sell itself as a five star, it needs to up the ante a bit ( particularly on the areas where it appears corners are being cut).
