Would stay again and for longer
Sophie and family are wonderful and we would stay again. Sadly on our last night there the guests in the next room started playing music loudly at 1am in morning and despite my best efforts I could not get them to hear me over the music so I could ask them to turn it down. Although absolutely not Sophie's fault it take the shine off the stay... it was why I marked the comfort down

Lovely area, quiet peaceful and super friendly pub close by. Great veggie breakfast in the morning. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer host than Sophie.

A most enjoyable stay
A delightful room in the eves of the property so up two flights of stairs with the private bathroom at the top of the first flight. The room was welcoming being full of natural light from the two huge windows in the roof and the bed was very comfortable. We left before breakfast was served at 9am but Sophie made us a delicious pack up to take with us. The local pub was a couple of minutes walk up the road, was very friendly and served good evening meals. All in all, a most enjoyable stay.

An oasis of peace and quiet near Harrogate.
I discovered Sophie's because Harrogate was booked out and I'm so glad I did, it's a delightful place to stay in a quiet village and still within easy striking distance of Harrogate centre. I couldn't meet Sophie but we spoke on the phone and she was nothing but helpful and welcoming. Next time I'll try Sophie's 1st before I even look at Harrogate.

Comfy twin room, very suitable for overnight for event in Ripley. Excellent breakfast and took on board our gluten, and dairy-free needs.

Sophie was a great host. Very helpful and made sure everything was easy to get to the room. Connection to Harrogate was easy with a short taxi. Hampsthwaite is beautiful but limited in the evening for food.

I can't say enough good things about this location. The village itself is pristine and beautiful, everything around the property is lovely. Sophie and her husband are wonderful hosts, who saw to everything. Our room was sweet, just what we needed, with a beautiful view. The grounds are lovely. Breakfast was fantastic. The pub next door was a perfect dinner option. Why stay in a busy city when you can be a few miles out of Harrogate and feel relaxed? Also, it's so much fun meeting the owners and having a real conversation, so different than staying in a cold hotel room. If I was in the area again, I would book immediately.

Overall good stay, noisy flooring above.
Hostess very friendly and helpful.Lovely views. Breakfast was good however an offer of a refill on the toast and drinks would have been appreciated.We were woken quite early as very noisy flooring in room above.

Set in a very quiet area with lovely views and gardens. Parking was available out the front, but signs to get in a bit confusing and left standing without welcome in shop. Room was clean enough, but could have been better. Ensuite was good size and lovely and warm. Internet was very hit and miss, certainly needs improvement, given this day and age. Breakfast was good.

I’d chosen Sophie’s for my partners birthday. Being called Sophie too I’d thought this would be a pleasant surprise. Knowing very little of this wonderful little bed and breakfast beyond that our stay was a pleasant visit in itself. Situated in a lovely little village just outside Harrogate and Knaresborough, part of Sophie’s cafe with a lovely garden offering glamping during the summer. The room itself was lovely and of a very high standard. We had what was essentially an apartment with en-suite which again, was of a high standard. Waking to church bells in a great bed I’d highly recommend staying here and plan to again.

Fantastic stay at Sophie’s B&B, twin room plenty of space, great size bathroom, Breakfast was one of the best, all locally sourced and fantastic quality. Would highly recommend, 10 to 15 minutes from Harrogate, stunning village with plenty of amenities, will definitely be back.

Beautiful b and b
We were absolutely blown away by Sophie's hospitality, what a beautiful little b and b this is, the choice of breakfast was sumptuous and so nice, we were lucky enough to be there for pizza night which is on the first Saturday of each month and the pizza's are hand made and cooked by Sophie's son in a wood fired oven, they are delicious. We will be definitely be back sometime in the future

Delightful location in lovely Yorkshire village
Super combination of tearoom/cafe with boutique accommodation. Very comfortable and unique sort of residence. Everyone exceptionally friendly and welcoming and easy transfer downstairs to the tearoom for breakfast! Would recommend and not hesitate to use again.

A Little Disappointed
We have stopped here before but some small things wrong on this stay. Dripping shower, light flickering on main lights and a bed that squeaked every time you moved. Slightly disappointing especially has we had recommend to friends and family. Breakfast was great and host was welcoming.

A Hidden Little Gem
The first impressions walking into the room were wow! The velux windows that open right out of the roof are fantastic and give you brilliant views. Its almost a shame we were not spending more time in the room haha. The staff were very polite and friendly. The breakfast was great quality and the service a very high standard. Will definitely look to stay here again if was ever staying in the area.

Stayed four days here, ideally placed for touring. Room clean and comfortable. Staff obliging - nothing too much trouble. Sunday lunch for us and two guests served without fuss.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sophie's. The room was a very decent size and it had all the amenities you'd expect. Our favourite part was the food. We dined there on the Saturday night when they had a bistro night and the breakfast the following morning was great too.

Owner was away from the property so was met by young woman from tea room; very pleasant. Breakfast in tea room next morning was lovely and pleasant lady and her young daughter were both extremely pleasant and very helpful. Tea room was however closed and we were squirreled away in a corner with another couple staying so we could not be seen. Stairs to room and room carpet in single bedded room need some attention with mud stains. Local pub was not operating for food service, having recently been taken over with new owners.

Excellent stay in first rate accommodation
Great stay in an excellent guest house. Double room is on the top floor and there are opening Velux windows to take advantage of the country views to the rear, great design! we arrived later than planned but arrangements were made for access and excellent recommendation for evening meal in adjacent village. Unfortunately there are no pubs in Hampsthwaite. Breakfast is in the cafe which was top quality, well cooked and a brilliant way to start the day.

What a good find
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at sophies it was only for one night but hopefully we can do two next time . the room was really clean and the bed sooo comfy, we had a lovely breakfast Sunday morning cooked by Sophie and she was busy making lots of home made cakes . It certainly was a good find and Sophie and her husband made us very welcome
