"Noise"
Everything was excellent but on a ground floor the noise from above was ridiculous you could hear a kettle being switched on ..needs some sort of insulation .

Lovely hotel- shame that breakfast was not included in the price. A little expensive for room only. Great location and beautiful room. Very comfy bed!

"A lovely place to stay"
A very warm welcome with tea and homemade cake. Our room was upstairs and comfortable, with the towels replaced every day and toweling robes provided. The bathroom had a nice roll top bath but would have been improved by a better shower. A grab rail and non-slip mat in the bath would also have made getting in and out of the bath easier. Breakfast was very good. The village is very picturesque but has no mobile phone signal. It also has no street lighting so, take a torch if you go out at night.

"NICE B&B CLOSE TO NY TOWNS"
Owner Amanda couldn't have been nicer and made us feel part of the family. We had a very comfortable room which was self contained and we also had the use of the adjoining summer room - very comfy. The reviews on the breakfasts were bang on I couldn't have done more myself and i consider myself a good cook. A comfy bed, wakening up to the birds singing and THE BREAKFAST to look forward to - sheer bliss! Thank you Amanda and Richard and your lovely wee girl Connie. We will be back - tomorrow if we could.

"Lovely pub and comfortable rooms 😊"
We stayed one night with out 3 children in a family room. It was very clean and comfortable and good value at £130 inc. breakfast. The pub served lovely food for our dinner. I had the steak and ale pie which was very good. My husband had duck which also was lovely. The owners were very welcoming and the staff were polite and extremely efficient. I would definitely recommend staying at this pub.

"Good one night stay."
Staff were really friendly. They had only taken over the hotel a week before (an unexpected early move-in date for them) and, considering that, they were doing amazing well. Food portions were really small (first english breakfast in my life where I was given one sausage). I was disappointed that the orange juice was not fresh and the coffee was truly awful - sorry but it was either out of date or, what I suspect, is not enough coffee granules had been poured in. Whilst I appreciated the price for the B&B was not expensive, I would have happily paid a little more to get a better breakfast. The same went for a cheeseboard which was not cheap but the portions were very small. It just felt like quite a few corners were being cut with regards to food. Room was comfy and the bathroom was fresh looking (small things like small toiletry bottles would help it be even better). Great shower is always welcome. I'm sure that with a few months of settling in this will be a wonderful place to stay!

"Convenient base in the heart of lovely Settle."
Stayed at the Royal Oak while travelling on business. Check-in was a breeze - no issues there. Room was reasonably comfortable and clean but could do with a bit of a freshen-up here and there (particularly the bathroom/shower). Food in the pub was lovely.

Pocket Guide: Pet Friendly Hotels in North Yorkshire

The site of numerous National Parks, welcoming rural villages and historic cities, North Yorkshire thoroughly deserves its reputation as one of England's prize holiday destinations. There's plenty to see and do around the county but by far one of the foremost attractions is the abundance of picturesque walking routes, with something to suit walkers of all abilities. For those with pets, no holiday feels quite right if you have to leave them at home. Fortunately, there are plenty of pet-friendly hotels in North Yorkshire.

    Proximity to Walking Routes

As England's largest county, North Yorkshire has plenty of space to stretch your legs. Favourite destinations are the famous Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors National Park. If you're keen to take Fido out on the Yorkshire hills, there are plenty of pet-friendly hotels in these parts to welcome you.

The Royal Oak in Settle is a stylish country inn located on the western edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Not only does the inn welcome dogs, it also features a fantastic restaurant and has some meeting rooms, great for professional guests.

    Space to Exercise

With more than 40% of its land given over to National Parks, visitors have a huge choice of walks. On the days you choose to check out some local attractions rather than stretching your legs, though, you'll need some other way of wearing out your beloved dog. This is why it can pay to pick a hotel with plenty of outside space, meaning your dog can get her exercise on the hotel grounds.

The Royal Oak Inn in York has a spacious garden, great for wearing out your dog. There's also free WiFi, making it easy to plan each day's events.

    Impressive Accommodation

Pet owners don't need to compromise on the quality of their accommodation just to bring the dog along for the ride. Pet-friendly hotels in North Yorkshire offer the same levels of comfort as anywhere else.

The Chiltern Guesthouse in Whitby is a great example of the standard on offer from pet-friendly hotels in North Yorkshire. The four-star guesthouse boasts comfy family rooms, a tasty breakfast and close proximity to one of the county's nicest beaches.
