Gutes Hotel in der Nähe einer A-Strasse.

Posted 23-Aug-2016

Opportunity to stay in a historic hotel

Posted 06-Aug-2016
Handy stopping point at Scoth Corner and although it's not the most scenic location, the hotel itself has recently been refurbished in a stylish art deco inspired way. Cool bar and restaurant. Check in and out no problem. Room very pleasant. Breakfast very good. Our only gripe was that when we asked for cocktails at the bar they took an absolute age to be made. They were listed on a cocktail menu and the bar wasnt busy but you'd have thought we were the first people ever to ask for them. Overall though it was a great stay.

Very Poor

Posted 08-Jul-2016
Cons: New duty manager. New policys.
The duty manager was rude and his behaviour was appalling. Due to unforeseen circumstances we were unable to make he first night. They cancelled the rest of the booking leaving me to find other emergency accommodation. Was a regular hotel guest until today, will not be using them again.

No internet

Posted 12-May-2016
Pros: Location, Facilities, easy car parking, Italian restaurant and mainly very friendly staff
Cons: Breakfast waitress
Location: 30 minutes from Middlesbrough, just off A1, ideal spot to break up a journey from Southern England to Scotland's East Coast
Not hotel's fault. Road repairs on A1 had dug up BT cable so no internet for our stay and very poor EE phone reception Staff were excellent and would also have got a 5 star apart from couldn't care less breakfast waitress who got us gluten free bread but said you can only use it in contaminated toaster that gluten bread was used in. Did not have time to use excellent hotel leisure facilities including pool and gym. Plenty of free car parking and Easy to find just off the A1 but room was extremely quiet you would not know you were 200 metres away from A1. excellent Italian Restaurant where staff knew about being Gluten intolerant
