Good hotel, would recommend.

Posted 05-Mar-2017
Pros: See experience, above.
Cons: See experience, above.
Location: In between Yorkshire Dales and Moors, so loads of good scenery nearby. Richmond brilliant little market town, Reeth, Swaledale fantastic.
Standard double room, spacious enough. Decent breakfast, good choice of food, though not as much as some hotels. Two drawbacks for me - 1. Pillows - though I always seem to have problems in places other than my own home - one pillow not high enough, two too high!! Stayed only one night, so did not bother to speak to the hotel, but am sure they would have tried to sort it for me if I did. 2. Traffic noise - next to two busy roads - A1 and A66 - the double glazing did not completely block out the lorries etc. Windows were closed obviously!

Great hotel, staff and food

Posted 24-Feb-2017
Pros: Everything, the rooms are so clean (and they have feather pillows too), the bathrooms sparkle and the staff are so friendly.
Location: Not far from North Yorkshire and we love the area, so use the hotel when we visit York, Harrogate and the North York Moors too.
We love this hotel and come back to it time and time again. The staff are great and always go the extra mile to help and the food, both in the bar and the Italian restaurant is so good.

Weekend visit

Posted 21-Jan-2017 on Ebookers
I would commend this hotel highly. From the outside the hotel doesn't look inspiring, but inside it was a clean modern décor throughout and our room had been recently refurbished. There was a good full and hearty English and/or continental breakfast with cold meats or fruits, so we only ate again in the evening. We tried the bar menu twice using room service and the food was very good, especially the chicken and chorizo salad. There is also an attached leisure centre with a decent pool as well as sauna and steam room. This was also very well run and organised. There probably was more facilities available but we did not use these. I also wanted to mention that the staff were very good, helpful and attentive, which also contributed to us enjoying our stay. With Richmond only 3-4 miles away, I think that this hotel is a well kept secret !

Traveller from manchester

Pros: The location
Cons: The way they deal with complaints.
Location: Great access to the A1.
The hotel it's self was clean, we had room 111, we was told this room would be nice and quite, as it's just of the front of the hotel, all we could hear was a sound of a generator all night , we mentioned this to the lady on reception, but nothing was done ,we only stayed the one night, could not wait to get home to get some sleep.

Good hotel for A1 access

Posted 28-Dec-2016
Pros: The location.
Cons: They need to improve the way they deal with complaints, they could of offered us a room swap, which would have been better then the free drink vouchers
Location: Good access to A1
The hotel it's self was clean and the food for breakfast was a good selection, we had a couple of bar meals the menu choices were poor but the food was well cooked. We had three terrible nights sleep ,due to what sounded like a generator ,our room was at the back of the hotel room 109,we mentioned this to front desk receptionist, who advised she would get her manager to look into this, we got no feedback at all from her manager when asked we got told it had been entered into the book and were given 2 vouchers for a free drink at the bar.We could not wait to get home to get some sleep, this really did spoil our Christmas break with our family,as we were so tried.

Ideally located next to the A1. Smart and clean hotel. Pillows are uncomfortable, so would take my own if I was to stay again and yes I would stay at this hotel again

Good hotel in convenient location

Posted 03-Dec-2016
Pros: Location. Excellent breakfast. Good pool
Cons: Could have done with a bit more written information in the room on hotel facilities and opening times.
Location: Richmond is 10 minutes drive. Went to the cinema at The Station, a really nice arts centre. Very pleasant riverside walk.
This was a great location for a weekend visit. Easy to get to as literally just off the A1. Close to Richmond and the Dales, County Durham and even The North Yorkshire Moors. Very welcoming staff after a frustrating long delay on the A1. We spent the weekend visiting various towns and villages and had a great walk on each day.
