The person checking us in gave us a room with a view over the Minister which was great. The person who served us breakfast didn't seem to like being there, but breakfast was good.

The property is right in front of the York Minster and is very central to most attractions in York.

Great hotel overlooking the Minster and with a very easy walk to all attractions and the railway station. Welcoming staff, warm, cosy and clean room, great breakfast - all round lovely!

Stayed one night during the week. The staff were very friendly and met all our needs. The hotel facilities were very good given the age and history of the building. I was aware of a kitchen extractor in a void at the back of my room but it didnt disturb my sleep. The location is excellent for sight seeing york but there are no parking spaces on site. Vehicles are valet parked once you arrive and returned in about 10 minutes when requested. Hotel food was good but there are plenty of interesting restaurants within easy walking distance. Overall i was happy with my choice and would stay again!

Excellent property in a great location, with a warm and fabulous welcome (thank you Frank). The room we stayed in was large, comfortable and had everything expected. The only criticism would be the excessive parking charges. Thankfully we were aware of the and took the decision to accept, but still excessive. A great stay in a recommended property.

Was my 2nd time staying there in a few years but on my last visit I wasn’t happy with the bed. It was two beds pushed together however I booked a double bed online

Highly recommend staying here, my room was big and spacious, nicely decorated too. Breakfast was really nice too, whilst sitting you had a great view of the Minster. Great location too for the shops, Shambles etc. Thank you

So convenient in the heart of the city. Easy walking distance to attractions and restaurants. Used the valet parking, very easy and quick - saved us a lot of effort in finding parking. Staff were great and the meals delicious.

The staff were very friendly, responsive and helpful. The facility is gorgeous, the food is great, staff are wonderful... right in front of the Minster.

This hotel is a sweet treat - recently refurbished, it has large rroms with ever convenience. They are restful and enjoyable and beautifully appointed Staff are similarly tops. The valet parking staff were prompt and on the ball. We highly recommend you use them rather than tromping around looking for a rare spot. The location is prime, right at the foot of York Minster. We strolled over after dinner and had a nearly private experience as no one was there at that hour. It is a gorgeous church and one of the most emotional experiences in a church. There are restaurants a plenty within an easy walk. Lots of little shops and walking the walls completed our stay. You cannot go wrong at Dean Court!

Great hotel just across the road from the Minster. Well appointed, comfortable, spacious room. Only (minor) complaint is that we couldn't figure out how to adjust the heat.

I choose hotels based first of all on location and Dean Court was perfect but has so much more to recommend it. Walkable to everything you'd want to see in York. York Minster, the Shambles, and the ramparts are literally on the doorstep. Excellent dining opportunities all around, including the breakfast at Dean Court and a lovely dinner when we ate in one night. Everyone on staff was wonderful especially the manager who takes a personal interest on guests. The hotel has old world charm with a modern service sensibility. I don't have a single complaint. Dean Court in York made our stay in York perfect.

Great location. The room was stiflingly hot with no heating on. They had fans in the room which helped but it was only 17 degrees outside. The breakfast was very disappointing. You had to make your own pot of tea from a hot water urn which wasn't hot enough. Please go back to making tea for us with hot water!
