Requires maintenance on a huge scale! The staff were excellent and nothing was a problem or a trouble to them. They complied with our wishes with understanding and compassion to change our room when asked. Overall ,we enjoyed our stay thanks to all the staff .
We stayed four nights and chose this side of Scarborough for a change and we were very pleased with the Hotels position. We booked the family room and put the cases etc on top of bed in the single room out of the way. Pleased with space of room. After reading previous reviews I took my laptop to ...
Beautiful clean, recently refurbished room (number 11) only small problem was wi-fi in that room. Fantastic breakfast and very friendly staff. Good that it had parking too. Thoroughly recommend it.
You may pay a bit extra for this hotel, but it is well worth it. We have just returned from a 2 night weekend break. Our executive room in the main hall and was clean and extremely spacious, with a very comfortable king bed. We had a delicious dinner in the Brasserie, great choice of food and wine, ...
Hotel - decor and location brilliant. Staff very professional and helpful. Bar and restaurant service first class. Menus varied and food preparation and presentation could not be faulted. Great value for money.
Friendly owners, room on the small side but very clean and comfortable and nice self service breakfast - only slight down side was the shower, which kept going hot and cold and had so little power it was difficult to get wet under it! The owners are quite new and are planning to refurbish the bathrooms, ...
North Yorkshire is best known for its abundance of breath-taking natural beauty. Close to half of the land in the county is designated as National Parks, offering plenty of diversity for keen walkers and lovers of the great outdoors. What many people overlook, however, is the county's beautiful stretch of coastline on the North Sea. There are plenty of beach hotels in North Yorkshire, ideal for stealing away to catch some summer sun.
Scarborough is Yorkshire's largest seaside resort, welcoming in tons of visitors each year. The welcoming coastal town boasts everything you could want from a holiday resort. In addition to the pristine sandy beach, there's a well-kept harbour and a picturesque rocky headland. The town isn't starved of historical attractions, either. There's an 11th-century castle to visit, and some glorious Japanese landscaped gardens at Peasholm Park.
As you'd expect, Yorkshire's premier seaside resort is packed with exquisite beach hotels. The Clifton Hotel on Queens Parade is a pretty and traditional hotel which offers excellent rates all through the year. There's conference space for professional guests and babysitting services for travelling families. Free WiFi is also available throughout the hotel.
Scarborough also offers plenty of intimate guesthouses and B&Bs. The Sunnyside Guesthouse is a small and charming guesthouse, set just back from the sea and within a few minutes' walk of Peasholm Park. There's a pretty little garden and a delicious breakfast available each morning.
A little way north along the coast from Scarborough is the popular historic town of Hartlepool, which also offers some great beach hotels. Founded way back in the 7th Century, Hartlepool is packed with historical attractions and gorgeous period buildings. To the picturesque town wall to the HMS Trincomalee, an 1817 warship, there's plenty to see and do around this welcoming town.
The Staincliffe Hotel is a fine four-star hotel located right on the seafront, offering direct access to the beach. The location makes it a popular choice for weddings, with plenty of opportunity to get some memorable wedding snaps. There's also some good local food available in the hotel's restaurant.
